Story
Maggie is an extremely sweet and loving dog. She does great with kids and loves to play fetch, we have two cats and she occasionally tries to chase them. She would never hurt them, or actually be able to catch them. Unfortunately our new baby has severe eczema and sensitive skin issues, so we decided to make Maggie and outside pet only due to the dander causing our baby problems. Our backyard is not small, but not big enough for a dog her size along with her breed. She does need more time and attention we can give to her since having a new baby. It is with a heavy heart that we feel we are not giving her the best life and attention she deserves. We feel as if someone else will be able to attend to her better, like playing with her more and taking her on daily walks. Her nose is very impressive! She loves to play "find it", where we hide something in the backyard after she sniffs it and then finds it.. Every. Single. Time. This is one of the hardest decisions we have made as a family.

    Meet Kalina   Kalina is a beautiful, 6-year-old ,Bloodhound mix, girl who weighs about 80 pounds of pure heart and quiet hope.   This lovely lady didn’t have the easiest start in life. Her origin: a backyard breeder, so Kalina missed out on socialization and gentle handling every dog deserves. Because of that, she can be quite shy at first, especially around new people and in new places. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines through: a sweet, goofy, playful soul.   Kalina has the most velvety, deep red, soft coat and the deepest, most soulful eyes that seem to understand everything. She’s already house trained and is incredibly loyal once she bonds with you. Because of her past, Kalina would do best in a home with a patient, understanding adopter who’s ready to give her the time, consistency, and gentle love she needs to blossom. She would especially thrive with a companion dog to help boost her confidence and give her a built-in playmate and friend.   If you have a calm, loving home and are willing to be Kalina’s safe place, she will repay you with the kind of deep, unwavering loyalty and quiet joy that only a Bloodhound mix can offer. She’s ready to leave her prior life behind and write a beautiful new chapter with someone who sees how special she is.
