•Potty-trained •Crate-trained •Low energy •Good with dogs *Check out Meadow's video featured on The Dodo!* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klQPuEMd8xU Meadow has one of the gentlest hearts we’ve ever met. At first, she was so unsure about the world—but she’s been incredibly brave, trying new things even when she’s scared. She’s starting to open up and it’s the most beautiful thing to watch. She loves laying her head on her foster mom and just being close. She’s soft, sweet, and slowly showing us the playful side she’s been keeping tucked away. Meadow was rescued from the streets of the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas. We don’t think she’s ever lived inside a home until she arrived to her foster. She is low energy and doesn’t require a yard or long walks, so she could definitely live in an apartment. She is fully potty-trained and crate-trained. Meadow has done great with another dog after proper introductions. She currently lives with two other dogs in her foster home and peacefully coexists. She is learning how to walk on leash and doesn’t pull. Unfortunately we don’t know which breeds she is but we do know she is truly gorgeous. She deserves to find a family who will treasure her forever! She is ready to find her perfect match. Meadow is currently fostered in Victoria, TX. If you are interested in adding Meadow to your family, please fill out the adoption application found on our website: www.savingsouthtexas.com/adoptables

Story
Big Voice, Bigger Heart, Endless Goofiness
Cookie Cuddles is a 3-year-old, 64-pound brindle beauty with a whole lot of personality packed into one lovable package. This Plott Hound/Terrier/Staffordshire Bull mix is new to us, but her friends from her previous shelter had plenty of great things to share—and Cookie is already starting to show them off. Cookie is a certified goofball. She’s playful, silly, and proudly vocal, never shy about telling you exactly how she feels. Whether she’s chatting about her day, asking for attention, or reacting to something exciting, Cookie’s expressive nature makes her endlessly entertaining and full of charm. The shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for her, so we’re still getting to know all her best sides as she settles in. What we do know so far is that she enjoys being around other dogs and has done well with them, though she may appreciate thoughtful introductions and time to decompress. Cookie would shine in a home that loves a dog with character—someone who will laugh at her antics, appreciate her talkative side, and give her the patience and space to fully relax and be herself. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who brings energy, humor, and heart into everyday life, Cookie Cuddles might just be your perfect match.

Story
This lovely girl enjoyed a two-day sleepover where she showed just how thoughtful and gentle she is. She’s comfortable and social with other dogs, and their presence helps her feel confident and at ease. With people, she’s taking things at her own pace—and every day brings more progress. Her curiosity is shining through, her tail is wagging more, and her foster saw encouraging growth in just a short time. She does well in a crate, is learning good potty habits, and was calm when left alone for short periods. In the home, she was respectful and non-destructive, happily entertaining herself with toys and especially loving bones. She enjoys snacks and is learning that good things come from kind humans, particularly when interactions are calm and gentle. This sweet, thoughtful pup is blossoming and would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can continue building trust and confidence. Her foster is already seeing wonderful changes and believes she has so much potential ahead. 💕🐾

Story
Elm is a handsome, medium-sized pup with the solid charm of a sturdy tree and a heart that just wants to connect. He’s friendly, playful, and full of that classic Pittie enthusiasm, making him a joy to hang out with. Around other dogs, Elm can be social and curious, though he sometimes needs a little help remembering his manners when the excitement picks up. With a bit of structure and someone who can help keep him grounded, Elm really shines and shows what a sweet, loving boy he is. If you’re ready for a companion who’s equal parts fun, affectionate, and eager to grow, this lovable pup is ready to leaf his old life behind and start fresh with you.

Story
Sassy is a pup who can fit into so many types of homes, and it's truly a mystery why she's been at the shelter as long as she has. She's housetrained, social with other dogs, and such a polite, independent girl. Sassy girl walks nicely on her leash and knows "sit" and "paw." She is very treat motivated and super smart, so it would be pretty easy to train her to do so many fun tricks.Sassy is a pretty easy going dog who loves puzzle toys and eating tasty things. She might tell you she wants another treat with a "sasy" bark, but we don't imagine she'll be a super loud girl at home. It's just that she knows she's a queen who deserves a soft bed and lots of tasty snacks with a family who loves her. Xylo: Snack Connoisseur, Nap Enthusiast, Full-Time Heart-Stealer Meet Xylo, the 8-year-old senior with a PhD in Snuggology and a minor in Treatonomics. He has been patiently waiting for a home with a heart that is overflowing with the kind of love that will make every day feel brighter. He's a loyal, thoughtful, gentleman who wants nothing more than to share his days with someone who will love him in return. Xylo takes his time to trust, but once he does, he becomes a devoted companion who will sit beside you, curl up in your lap, and let you know—wordlessly—just how much he loves being with you. He’s a whiz at basic obedience and loves learning new tricks in exchange for treats! He enjoys the simple things: soft sunbeams, leisurely walks on the scenic route to sniff, rolling around in the dirt, and a cozy bed in a safe corner of your home. Xylo also loves stuffed toys, gentle play, and giving kisses. He gets along well with dogs and cats and thrives on friendship, comfort, and snuggles. If your life needs a snack-motivated, goofy, loveable companion with a flair for dramatic napping, Xylo is your guy. Adopt him, and prepare for laughter, cuddles, unconditional love, and the occasional burst of playful chaos!

Noble is a truly dignified gentleman with the heart of a sweetheart and the enthusiasm of a fetch champion. This lovely boy greets the world with soft eyes, a happy tail, and a gentle spirit that’s impossible not to adore. He’s housetrained, eager to please, and always ready for a round (or five) of fetch — his absolute favorite pastime. Story
Meet Apricot! This young pup is gentle, playful, and ready to blossom in a loving, patient home. Despite a tough start in life, Apricot is resilient and already showing how brave she is. Initially shy with new people, she’s quickly warming up and loves being close to her foster—following them everywhere! Apricot enjoys playful games like chasing balls and tug-of-war, and she has fun running in the yard with her littermate. She’s making great strides with house training and is learning to walk on a leash, responding well to gentle encouragement. Apricot finds comfort in her crate, where she sleeps peacefully at night and can retreat during the day when she needs a little security. Apricot would thrive in a calm, patient home (preferably without kitties) where she can build trust, and show off her playful, loving personality. She’s a resilient little pup ready to find her forever family!
