THOMAS IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! AUSTIN TX! Our majestic treeing walker coonhound has come so far! This poor guy came into the rescue severely malnourished with wounds all over his body and his eye desperately needing surgery. Thanks to our incredible donors, we were able to get him the vet care he needed. He has now recovered from his eye surgery and is ready for his forever home for Christmas! His foster family says he is a perfect gem! He is sweet and goofy and loves his many foster doggy siblings! Thomas is one of the least reactive dogs one of our head people claims; she posted a video to Facebook and Thomas just stood and looked as the neighbors dogs barked. If his foster family had room for one more pup, Thomas would definitely be a foster fail. He is perfect.

He has been an absolute pleasure in foster care, and everyone is hoping he’ll be welcomed into a loving family just in time for the holidays.💛 Bananas is potty trained and understands the routine once he’s shown which door to wait by. He’s currently learning his basic commands and, being very treat motivated, is eager to keep improving. This sweet boy loves playtime, especially a good ball-throwing session. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently lives with an energetic 5-year-old Golden Retriever. Despite his small size (21 lbs to her 65 lbs), he keeps up perfectly—sharing toys, enjoying playful wrestling, taking naps together, and exchanging endless puppy kisses. Their adorable dynamic could easily be a YouTube sensation. Bananas is also gentle and loving with children and enjoys cuddles, pets, and cozy nap time with his human friends. He’s a Velcro pup who forms strong bonds and loves staying close, but he’s equally excited for new adventures and outings.
