Story
This is Hank. A 4 year old blue tick coonhound. I adopted him 2 1/2 years ago. He is a love bug. He enjoys neck scratches (he stretches his long neck all the way out it’s cute!) he gives himself noogies (rubs the top of his head) against you for hugs or new blankets and pet beds. He loves being out on a walk sniffing and exploring. He is a hound so he likes to make noise when he sees a friend across the street.he is very strong and while I have worked with him over the past 2 years he still has a pulling tendency on the leash so a strong hold and some time is needed with him. He is super quiet and laid back in the house. Only moves for a snack. He lounges and naps all day. I love him dearly but life is taking our family in a new direction. I have high hopes he finds a loving active family where he can go on adventures and cared for as he deserves.

Milo is a handsome gentleman who carries the soulful charm and distinctive voice of a Bluetick Coonhound mix. With his eye-catching speckled coat and soft, low-shedding fur, he is bound to turn heads wherever he goes. He's an easygoing companion, walks beautifully on a leash without pulling, and he considers himself an excellent copilot for car rides. Housebroken and exceptionally polite, he has a thoughtful and gentle nature which makes him a pleasure to have around. He's also incredibly smart, already knowing several basic commands and is eager to please. Milo is friendly with the other dogs he has met and would do wonderfully in a variety of households. True to his hound heritage, he does possess the classic, melodic hound bay. While he doesn't use his voice excessively, his signature song is something to consider if you live in an apartment, condo, or an environment where shared walls and noise restrictions are a factor. If you are looking for a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion to share your quiet evenings and leisurely morning walks, Milo is ready to fill that space in your heart.

Laika has done very well with other dogs. She's been the loving and playful foster sister to over 50 dogs of all ages, sizes and temperamants and would love to meet any future siblings before heading home. She enjoys playing with other dogs and tends to be a “play hard, nap hard” kind of dog. She is fully house trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. She hasn’t needed to be crated since she was about 1.5 years old and has had free roam of the house for years without any problems. She can be trusted loose in the home when left alone. She is very treat motivated and completed basic obedience training school. She knows commands such as sit, down, and stay, and generally enjoys learning when food is involved. She also loves playing fetch and is always happy to chase a ball. From her foster: "Honestly, one of the best things about Laika is how affectionate she is. She’s a huge cuddle bug and would happily spend all day curled up. Her favorite place is tucked into a bed, couch, or comfy chair with a blanket wrapped around her."
