Story
My partner and I were looking for a small dog, at a shelter near But, we completely fell in love with Taco. He is a very sweet dog, but he needs more than what we can give him. My partner and I have demanding jobs, and we aren’t home most of the day. Taco is very energetic and needs more space and attention than we can give him. We want to find him a really good home with people who will be able to care for him.

Story
Duke is a fun-loving thick guy with a tail like a whip!  Duke is very strong and has bursts of high energy during play.  He loves to chew, and tug-o-war is his favorite game!  He loves to chase (and destroy) tennis balls, and has a high drive to chase in general.  Duke does well with other friendly dogs, especially given the opportunity to do a slow introduction.  He has an intense energy while playing, but absolutely loves it.  For the right dog he would make a great companion.  However, Duke is also happy to be the only dog in a home.  He loves to share the bed with his people, and will always let you know if there is a stranger at the gate or someone at the door!  He's a great alert dog.  He enjoys sunbathing and snacks, and does very well when getting his nails dremmels and trimmed.  Duke has opened up to new people significantly since arriving with us, and is crate trained.  He responds well to correction from both humans and other dogs.  He does NOT do well with cats!  Duke is stronger than he thinks, and will sometimes run into things and trip overhimself.  It's funny most of the time, but he can be a bit of a bull in a china cabinet lol. Duke could use some work on leash training, but is house broken and doesn't get into many things he shouldn't as long as he has his toys to play with.  :). If you're interested in meeting this baby, please reach out or submit an application on our website. Please be sure to include your phone number on inquiries and check your spam folder for email responses! **Application and adoption fee apply** Pet adoption fees are $100-$150 for cats and $150-$400 for dogs (plus 8.25% required state tax), which includes; spay/neuter, all shots, deworming, and microchip.  All pets are current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.   Please visit our website for more information!  http://www.MarleighsFriends.org/ ##1177850##

Story
Aspen is a loving Texas Blue Lacy/mix female dog. She gets along with other dogs her size. She does not do well with smaller animals. Her idea of fun is to try to catch squirrels. Aspen would be a fantastic hunting dog. That is in her nature. She can sniff anything out and enjoys every minute. Loves the outdoors!
