Story
**Available for foster or foster to adopt** Hi I'm KangaRoo but you can call me Roo or RooRoo if you like. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl that she has ever met and super smart. My foster mom says that I have something called hip dysplasia in both my hips, not sure what that is but that must be why I experience pain. A couple of months ago, I had surgery on my left hip and have healed from that. It has helped me so much with pain, and getting around. My right hip still is not good, and foster mom said she will explain this more to my new family. But from what I understand, I'll just need to keep working on building muscle in my hind legs and doing some stretching. Just like the humans do as they get older.  I am a super smart girl, and already know sit and how to walk on a leash. I do get excited when I see bunnies on walks but all you have to tell me is leave it and I calm down. My favorite things in all the world are walks with my humans, car rides, and to sunbathe. I also like attention from the humans, and I'll talk to you to get your attention.  You can also check out my foster's social media pages to see some more pictures and videos of me. Tiktok- @fosterpuplife Instagram- @fosterpuplife21 Roo is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, tested heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. Fill out an app to meet this deserving girl. Her adoption fee is $100 locally in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state for $250 (includes health certificate and travel fee).  Apply for KangaRoo today and see for yourself how sweet and lovable she is!" https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQJune 21, 2025, 10:59 pm

Story
OPTIMISTIC GOOFBALL  Estimated date of birth is 8/8/22, weight 55 lbs. So what is a Blue Lacy, you might ask? Why, it’s the State Dog of Texas, of course!https://www.thesprucepets.com/blue-lacy-breed-profile-4769790 Kip is a fun junky that loves to play with other dogs (sometimes it looks like Wrestlemania), but his second favorite activity is to hang out with his foster mom, chewing on a good bone. He’s such a goofball, always optimistic, always sure that a treat is hiding in your pocket and it has his name on it! A sweet potato – yes. A couch potato – not so much, although when he’s worn out, he does relax and loves to be petted while he snoozes on his dog cot. Kip has been to obedience school and knows the basics (Sit, Down, Place, Wait). He also knows how to use the doggy door and stairs, is OK with baths (he splashes around in the pond at the dog park), and looooves to go on walks (and doesn’t pull much). This boy had a rough first year of his life: abandoned at a large park, found his way to a kennel, was picked up by the City Pound, caught parvo at the pound and wound up on the euthanasia list before his foster mom sprung him!  Kip’s ideal home environment would have a mom / dad with an active lifestyle, a spunky little canine sister to play and snuggle with, and a nice size backyard to run around and get the zoomies out.  Are you up for it!?  To see more pics and videos of Kip, click on this link to his Google drive, https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WG1YuYwq_kpzsBSNPezcqQaMPOJ8SPrz HOPE ID: D24-0113-0003 If you are interested in Kip and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Story
Meet Pepper – A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Safe Place After spending at least a month on her own, sweet Pepper found her way to us. This beautiful 1–2-year-old Cattle Dog mix is shy and reserved, still learning to trust the world around her. While she’s understandably timid, Pepper has never shown any signs of aggression—just a quiet, cautious heart that needs time, patience, and love to bloom. She’ll thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to go at her pace and help her feel safe. Once she realizes she’s truly home, we believe she’ll show her gentle, loving spirit. Pepper is spayed, vaccinated (including rabies), and has been treated with dewormer and flea prevention. She is heartworm positive, but don’t worry—we can give you resources to affordable treatment options to help her get healthy and happy. Could you be the patient, kind family Pepper’s been waiting for?

Story
We have a young male dog, 20months old, his name is Milo. Milo is a mix of blue heeler (Australia cattle dog) and border Callie but more like a heeler. Milo is a good dog, attached to people, friendly to other dogs and likes to play with other dogs. Overall, he likes companions (dogs or peoples). He is active and energetic; he is actually a working/farm dog. we got him from friend when he was 8 weeks. We have no experience on dog, did not know dogs are so different. Milo needs a lot of time to walk/run and play, otherwise he makes noise. Due to job's change and kid's activities' change, we don't have enough time on him, my daughter is starting to be allergic to dog hair. We try to find a suitable home for him. If you want an active dog and you have (1) a big backyard/farm/ranch for dog to run, (2) You have some time on hi or you have other dogs. Milo is 20-month male dog, spayed, got all shots and we have all medical record.

Story
Rocket isn't just a dog. He is a joyful, energetic spirit who lights up every room he enters. Raised with love and care, Rocket came to us from a registered AKC breeder, so he is not altered. Now, due to no fault of his own, we are searching for a new forever home where Rocket can continue to thrive and be the center of someone’s world. From the moment he arrived, Rocket lived up to his name. He is fast, curious, and full of zest and whether it’s racing through the yard during playtime, snuggling on the couch during a lazy afternoon, or following you around just to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s incredibly loyal, eager to please, and happiest when he is around people.
