I adopted Cooper on Dec 10th when I was working remote full-time, then unexpectedly I was laid off the very next day. I've since gained full time employment but it requires me to go into the office everyday, which means Cooper is spending 16-18 hours a day in a crate (while I'm at work and at nighttime). He is still the typical energetic, loving Austrailan Cattle Dog you would expect, but I need to give him a better life than near constant isolation. I do love that little guy but tuly need to do what's fair for him. I live in an apartment, so keeping him in a yard during the day is not something I'm able to do.

We`ve noticed that he does better when he has multiple activities home alone (snuffle mats, long-lasting chews, and frozen kongs) to keep him busy to avoid him chewing on things he shouldn`t. He LOVES dogs but, just like people, he takes a minute to warm up. One walk around the block with another pup will have him making fast friends! (PA 4/2/25)

During a recent foster stay he learned the sit and no commands and was working really hard on fetch.
