Story
We took Dixie in from a QuikTrip parking lot in May of 2024. Her litter had been found on someone’s property with no mother to be seen. She is what we assume to be a blue heeler mix, but we have not had her tested. She is just over two years old. She is very playful, but also loves to snuggle on the couch with other dogs or people. She will ask to be touched very often, and will want to lay her head or body in your lap while you sit. She and our other dog get along very well, playing and lounging throughout the day. She is trained to sit, lay down, “stay” until we give her the command to eat, and she is potty/house trained. She is kennel trained, and often prefers to stay in it overnight to sleep. In her new home, Dixie will need bursts of love and attention, followed by down time where she prefers to lay on the couch or in her kennel.

He’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his humans—especially if there are treats or brushing sessions involved!Pickle is still learning how to walk politely on a leash, but he’s smart and eager to please, making training a joy. He’s neutered, healthy, and heartworm negative.
