He’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his humans—especially if there are treats or brushing sessions involved!Pickle is still learning how to walk politely on a leash, but he’s smart and eager to please, making training a joy. He’s neutered, healthy, and heartworm negative. We took Dixie in from a QuikTrip parking lot in May of 2024. Her litter had been found on someone’s property with no mother to be seen. She is what we assume to be a blue heeler mix, but we have not had her tested. She is just over two years old. She is very playful, but also loves to snuggle on the couch with other dogs or people. She will ask to be touched very often, and will want to lay her head or body in your lap while you sit. She and our other dog get along very well, playing and lounging throughout the day. She is trained to sit, lay down, “stay” until we give her the command to eat, and she is potty/house trained. She is kennel trained, and often prefers to stay in it overnight to sleep. In her new home, Dixie will need bursts of love and attention, followed by down time where she prefers to lay on the couch or in her kennel.

Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
