Hello, my name is Rusty. I’m a breeder release and life is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me, but with time and kindness, I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’m shy around people because I didn’t get much socialization early in life. But don’t worry—once I warm up, I become shyly playful, especially with my foster mom. I’m still figuring out this whole “being loved” thing, and patient humans make all the difference. I live with cats and dogs. I can be a little picky with my playmates. I prefer female dogs. My potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best every day. I am not currently leash trained but working on it. I have not pottied on a leash. Best in a fenced yard. Kids may be too much for me as fast movements scare me. So no kids please. Meet Big Rusty 🐾 Rusty is a 4-year-old male Miniature Poodle with a gorgeous red mahogany coat and the sweetest, old-soul personality. He’s calm, polite, and gentle — the kind of dog who prefers peaceful company and a quieter home. Rusty does best in a calm environment and can be sensitive to loud voices or lots of commotion. He’s happiest when things are relaxed and predictable, and he thrives around people who appreciate a mellow, easygoing companion. He gets along well with other dogs who share his calm nature. Rusty isn’t a fan of high-energy, in-your-face play, so if there’s another dog in the home, a gentle, laid-back buddy would be the best match. Rusty is kennel trained and sleeps through the night in his kennel. Rusty is working on potty training and is doing well using pee pads indoors as well as going potty outside. With consistency and routine, he’ll continue to make great progress. Rusty is not leash trained yet and does not go potty on leash. He would do best with someone who is willing to train him to walk on leash. Meet Beans 🐾🫘 Beans is a 5-month-old, 10-lb Bichon/Shih Tzu mix with a fluffy white-and-silver coat and a heart full of love. He’s a sweet, people-focused puppy who adores attention and loves being held. Beans is happiest when he’s close by and enjoys being your little sidekick throughout the day. When he can’t see you, Beans settles nicely and is surprisingly calm and quiet for a puppy. But the moment you come back into view, he greets you with joyful puppy excitement and happy wiggles — he’s just thrilled to see his person. Beans is kennel trained and resting quietly is no problem for him. He’s still learning the ropes with potty training: he uses pee pads indoors and also goes potty outside, though consistency will continue to improve with routine and patience. He hasn’t had much leash experience yet, so leash walking and pottying on leash will be new skills for him to learn. Beans could be a potential trip hazard if you have walking/mobility issues. He thinks he needs to run and weave around my feet when I am walking.
