Hello, my name is Rusty. I’m a breeder release, and I came into rescue with my very best friend Fancy, another lovely mini poodle. We were a breeding pair. She has been adopted, and it makes me sad and I really need an outgoing dog in my new home. Life is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me, but with time and kindness, I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’m very shy around people because I didn’t get much socialization early in life. But don’t worry—once I warm up, I become shyly playful, especially with my foster mom. I’m still figuring out this whole “being loved” thing, and patient humans make all the difference. Where I truly shine is with other small playful dogs. They make me happy and give me joy. If you have a friendly, social dog at home, I bloom into a bouncy, happy boy. Without another dog, I become lonely, sad and unsure—so I must have a canine companion in my forever home. My potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best every day. I am not currently leash trained but working on it. Best in a fenced yard. Kids may be too much for me as fast movements scare me. Bruno is a sweet, laid-back senior who enjoys a calm lifestyle filled with long naps, cozy beds, and quiet companionship. He is well past the puppy stage and thrives in a relaxed environment where he can simply enjoy each day at his own pace. Bruno loves to relax and sleep, making him a wonderful match for someone seeking a low-energy companion. He is happiest lounging nearby and sharing gentle affection. Bruno Gets along with cats Bruno had a much-needed dental with extractions (and a senior blood work done) and now has only 4 teeth left.  Feeding suggestions include: - Wet or canned dog food - Softened kibble soaked in warm water or low-sodium broth - Soft, senior-friendly foods - Small, easy-to-chew portions Desired adoption Home: - No small children - No large dogs - Quiet, calm household that appreciates senior dogs preferred Bruno is looking for a home where relaxation, love, and peaceful days are always on the schedule.
