Story
**Meet Penny Sue! 🐩💕** Penny Sue is a beautiful Miniature Poodle who is discovering just how wonderful life can be now that her breeding days are behind her. While she is extremely timid when meeting new people, every day brings another little victory as she learns that humans can be kind, loving, and trustworthy. Once Penny feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She happily accepts pets, enjoys being held, gives the sweetest little kisses, and has even started seeking out affection on her own. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding! Penny absolutely loves other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in her forever home. She has recently begun initiating play with her foster siblings, showing off her adorable, goofy, submissive play style that is guaranteed to make you smile. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is indifferent to cats. This curious, happy-go-lucky little girl is crate trained and does well with potty training as long as she stays on a consistent schedule. Like many breeder-release dogs, she is still learning about the world and will need a patient family willing to let her continue blossoming at her own pace. Because Penny relies so much on the confidence of other dogs, **she must have another friendly, well-adjusted dog in the home** to help show her the ropes and teach her that people are safe. She will also require a **securely fenced yard** attached to the home, as leash walking and the outside world can still feel overwhelming for her. If you have a gentle heart, a patient spirit, and a canine friend ready to welcome a new sister, Penny Sue will reward you with the incredible privilege of watching a shy little dog transform into a devoted companion. There is nothing quite as special as earning the love of a dog like Penny. Penny has been spayed and had her teeth cleaned. She is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative and microchipped. **Adoption Fee:** **$450 plus tax** Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org

Story
**Meet Lulu & Penny – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Next Chapter** Lulu, a sweet Bichon Frise, and Penny, an adorable Poodle, are a bonded pair of approximately 10-year-old best friends. After their beloved owner passed away, they found themselves looking for a new family to love together. These girls share a beautiful bond. Penny is blind due to untreated dry eye syndrome and receives eye drops three times a day. Lulu has cataracts with decreased vision, but she naturally helps guide Penny around and has become her little "seeing-eye dog." You'll often find them cuddled up together, whether they're napping, relaxing, or sleeping side by side. While in our care, both girls had dental cleanings with multiple extractions and had several lumps removed. Each has just three teeth remaining, but don't worry—they eat just fine! Penny is a total lovebug who enjoys curling up on your lap and soaking up attention. Even though she's blind, she quickly learns her surroundings and confidently navigates the house. Lulu is a gentle, affectionate girl who enjoys being close to her people and blossoms with a little time and reassurance. Both girls are crate trained and leash trained. They feel most comfortable sleeping in an x-pen with their crate and soft beds available. They're doing well with potty training and happily go outside, but like many dogs adjusting to a new home, they may have occasional accidents during the transition. A consistent routine will help them continue to succeed. Lulu and Penny would love a calm home with older children or adults, and they get along well with other dogs and cats. More than anything, they're looking for someone who will cherish them as much as they cherish each other. If you're ready to open your heart to two incredibly sweet senior girls, Lulu and Penny will reward you with endless love, quiet companionship, and the joy of watching a truly special friendship every single day. Adoption fee is $450 plus tax. Apply at www.campcompanion.org Penny and Lulu do qualify for the senior for senior program. Please consider making a donation to their care to support our senior for senior program. https://www.campcompanion.org/donate/

Story
Meet Diesel! 🐾❤️ This handsome 5-year-old Mini Poodle is a breeder release who is learning what it means to be a beloved companion. He has only been in rescue for a couple of weeks, and while he is still unsure about many parts of this big new world, he is slowly beginning to show his sweet personality. Like many breeder-release dogs, Diesel needs time, patience, and a gentle approach as he learns that home life and human companionship can be safe and wonderful. He may still choose to give himself some space when approached, but he is also starting to have moments where he allows his foster mom to pick him up, hold him briefly, and enjoy gentle pets and scratches. These small steps are huge milestones, and with continued positive experiences, he will continue to build confidence and trust. Diesel gets along well with other dogs and peacefully ignores the cat in his foster home. Being around calm, respectful dogs has helped him continue adjusting to life in a home and learning new routines. Given where Diesel is in his confidence-building journey, having another friendly, confident dog in his forever home would likely be a wonderful benefit for him as he continues learning and adjusting. He is working on potty training and is learning the routines of living in a home. He does not enjoy being enclosed in a kennel, but he does see it as a safe space and will choose to go inside on his own when he needs a quiet place to decompress or take a break. Because of his breeder-release background, Diesel is not leash trained. Because he is still learning to trust and adjust to his new surroundings, he will need a patient family with an above-ground, securely fenced-in yard where he can feel safe while continuing to blossom. This sweet boy will need a family who understands that trust takes time, but the reward of watching him come out of his shell will be incredibly special. With patience, kindness, and a predictable routine, Diesel has the opportunity to become a wonderful little companion. Requirements & Important Information:
🐾 Above-ground securely fenced yard required
