Story
Hi! I’m Colette and I’m looking for my perfect home. Want to know what that looks like for me? I’d like a home with a patient family that understands I need time to feel safe. I didn’t have the best start in life so I’m still learning how to trust my people. My family will also need to know that I really like toys, like really really like toys! Treats are also must. They’re my second favorite thing. I like all the dogs, and even the cats, in my foster home. But I’m kind of afraid of large dogs so no dogs larger than 20 pounds, please. Colette’s foster mom here, Colette is a happy little girl weighing just over 7 pounds. She’s very sweet but hasn’t yet learned to enjoy being pet or held. I know she’ll learn how nice these things are in the near future. Shes so happy to be our little shadow when we’re in our fenced yard. Colette has made so much progress since coming into our home. She’s learned to ‘sit’ by following what our dogs do when given treats. She’s so smart! Colette has also learned our routine quickly. She’s so incredibly happy to just be near us. Onto the necessities. Colette must have a fenced yard. She has not yet learned to leash walk with any consistency. Her fears can cause her to dash out of doors or exit points so she’ll need an adopter experienced with fearful dogs and willing to take all precautions needed to keep her safe. Her house training is going really well with her pacing and looking at us when she needs to potty. However, she’s not perfect and will need continued positive reinforcement. Her crate is her safe space when she needs a break. She also loves to put her favorite toys in her crate. Colette really is a super happy little dog just wanting that perfect family to help her blossom. She’s spayed and up to date on all vaccinations Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel #9117.

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Fleurette! 🌸 As my name suggests, I am just a little flower and I am looking for the very best home where I can bloom! I am a 3 year old, 13 pound Bichon/Poodle mix. Thankfully, I was recently surrendered by a commercial breeder who bred me over and over again so they could make money off the sale of my puppies. Due to the conditions I spent the first few years of my life in, I am still quite timid and nervous around people. However, I am slowly but surely learning what it means to be a loved pet in a home and that people can be caring. 💕 My foster family says even though it takes time for me to warm up to new people, once I'm comfortable, I'm able to relax and enjoy their company. My furry foster brother has been really important in helping me learn what it means to be a loved dog. It will be essential that I go to a home with another confident dog who will help me continue to learn what it means to be a loved pet, to feel safe, and who I can look to when something new comes up. I will need a calm and quiet home and for my furever family to be patient with me. One of my favorite ways to spend the afternoons and evenings with my foster family is curled up on the couch getting little snuggles and pets. 🏡 I am crate trained and I spend the day in there while my foster parents are at work and I sleep in it at night too. I am learning how to walk well on a leash but I can still be a little on edge with new sights, smells, and sounds so I would really like my foster sibling to walk with us too. I am doing really good with potty training but accidents are to be expected until I understand the routine in my new home. 🐾 Due to my Bichon/Poodle coat, I will need regular grooming. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am currently being fostered in Bethlehem, PA and potential adopters may need to travel for a meet and greet. If you'd like to be my furever family, please fill out an application on our website using a laptop or desktop! Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading PA 19608

Story
Everyone meet Miss Tulip. Tulip is a 3yr old(ish) Merle mini poodle weighing in at 12lbs and boy is she a stunner!!! With her beautiful Merle coloring and her ice blue eye she is sure to melt your heart. Tulip is still super duper shy and will require a very patient and understanding home. Hi friends, it’s me Tulip. I’d like to start by telling you I’m still pretty fearful of the world. My life before rescue wasn’t great, I still hold a lot of trauma from that. My foster family is teaching me that not all people are mean and I trust them, but Im still super nervous. I will need a new family that is quiet and chill with very minimal commotion. Another furry sibling who is confident and chill would be amazing. I love all my foster siblings very much, both canine and feline, and I know having another doggie friend will make my transition a little less scary. My foster mom says I am a Queen with the potty thing whatever that means. Maybe she is happy cause I never go inside. I’m also ok with a crate. My favorite place to be is on my dog bed, except for when the black kitty of the house won’t leave me alone, then I take a nappy in my crate. I don’t get on the furniture, yet. My foster mom keeps trying but I’m just not ready to be a lap dog, yet. Bless her heart for trying. Tulip has not had much practice on a leash, they scare her very much. We have no doubts she will be fine one day but today, she is not so she will require a physically fenced in yard. This is NOT NEGOTIABLE! She is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. She has also been spayed and had a full dental. If you are the calm and quiet home with a fenced in yard that Miss Tulip needs to be her bestest self, please apply for her at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608
