My name is Winter, aka Winnie, aka Win-win and I am the cutest little 4-year-old, 10 lb. Bichon. I was rescued from a commercial breeder and I love that my new life includes a home with lots of dog beds. I LOVE my own space to lie down, my foster mom has a bed for me in every room, and I prefer to watch family life from the safety and comfort of my own personal space. I am so small that I even like to curl up on a couch pillow. I would do best in a calm home with people who patiently respect the fact that I am learning how to be a dog. I would be ok without kids or with kids over the age of 8ish who will understand that even though I look like a stuffed animal, I do NOT like to be picked up and held. I could be your one and only true love or I would be happy to live with another furry friend who is relaxed and who will respect my small size and chill nature. I live with 2 big dogs now and I do like to cuddle up with them and follow them outside, but I am happy just to relax next to my favorite humans. I am an escape artist and I figured out how to wiggle under my fenced in yard so my foster parents had to secure the fence to keep me safe. I would do well with a fenced in yard, with a fence that goes right to the ground. I was spayed and I am UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. I had an Xray of my right hip which showed some degenerative changes, but I don't appear to be in any discomfort. I will need to be on joint supplementation for the rest of my life, but I take medication without a problem when it's tucked into some soft food. I also had to have a few teeth pulled, but my foster mom says that I look like an adorable first grader, missing my front teeth. Potty training is a work in progress, if I am taken out at regular intervals, I am ok, I do get a little confused at night about waiting until the morning, but I am working on that. Tatianna better known as Tati Tati is a beautiful 3 year old Bichon who was luckily released from a commercial breeder at a young age. Although she is petite at just 10 1/2 pounds, she is mighty. She is strong, smart and curious. The more comfortable she’s gotten in her foster home, the more relaxed and inquisitive she’s become. Her forever family will need to earn her trust and be patient as she learns the ins and outs of becoming a well-loved family member. A confident resident pup is required as she continues to model her behavior. She very much follows the cues of her foster fur brothers and sisters. Tati is being fostered with dogs of her size and she gets along with everyone. She would enjoy a more playful companion. Children in her forever home should be older and respectful of dogs. Tati still startles at quick movements and loud noises. A fenced yard will be safest for her until she trusts her family to keep her safe. She is making good progress with house-training. Some regression in a new environment should be expected. Tati is crate trained during the day but enjoys sleeping in the bed with her pack. Tati is spayed and had a dental with some extractions. Patsy(wearing red or pink sweater) is a sweet 5 year old Bichon Frise weighing 15 lbs. She is a retired breeder dog who is learning life outside a kennel. She is doing very well with housetraining. Patsy likes the other dogs in her foster home and is very submissive. She will need a secure fenced yard and another gentle dog to learn from. She can be skittish of loud noises and chaos. Patsy is shy with people and takes a while to warm up. She seems to do better with women.  She sits in her safe zone which is her dog bed and observes.  She loves to cuddle but won't seek it out.  She craves love and will give little kisses when being held.  A quiet home with another small dog would be her best fit. She seems more secure with another dog and seeks them out to cuddle with. She is doing great on a leash and has learned she can do steps. My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process.
