My name is Winter, aka Winnie, aka Win-win and I am the cutest little 4-year-old, 10 lb. Bichon. I was rescued from a commercial breeder and I love that my new life includes a home with lots of dog beds. I LOVE my own space to lie down, my foster mom has a bed for me in every room, and I prefer to watch family life from the safety and comfort of my own personal space. I am so small that I even like to curl up on a couch pillow. I would do best in a calm home with people who patiently respect the fact that I am learning how to be a dog. I would be ok without kids or with kids over the age of 8ish who will understand that even though I look like a stuffed animal, I do NOT like to be picked up and held. I could be your one and only true love or I would be happy to live with another furry friend who is relaxed and who will respect my small size and chill nature. I live with 2 big dogs now and I do like to cuddle up with them and follow them outside, but I am happy just to relax next to my favorite humans. I am an escape artist and I figured out how to wiggle under my fenced in yard so my foster parents had to secure the fence to keep me safe. I would do well with a fenced in yard, with a fence that goes right to the ground. I was spayed and I am UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. I had an Xray of my right hip which showed some degenerative changes, but I don't appear to be in any discomfort. I will need to be on joint supplementation for the rest of my life, but I take medication without a problem when it's tucked into some soft food. I also had to have a few teeth pulled, but my foster mom says that I look like an adorable first grader, missing my front teeth. Potty training is a work in progress, if I am taken out at regular intervals, I am ok, I do get a little confused at night about waiting until the morning, but I am working on that. She came to us with a few other dogs from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she was no longer wanted but we’re determined that the rest of her story will be a happy one. Tianna is a gentle, tender‑hearted girl who is shy at first, but her confidence has been blossoming beautifully. She has become a regular star in our small‑dog playgroups, where she does amazing with other dogs and clearly finds comfort and joy in their company. Having canine friends around helps her feel safe and relaxed. With people, Tianna is making steady progress too. She happily wags her tail, approaches volunteers for affection, and once she’s comfortable, she’ll even give sweet kisses. For most of her life, she never experienced the simple joys many dogs take for granted — toys, soft grass under her paws, or the comfort of being someone’s beloved companion. Because of her past, Nala can be shy at first and needs a little time to feel safe. But once she does? Her quirky, playful personality starts to peek out in the most heart-melting ways. She loves to chase her tail, proudly carry around her favorite toy- a glove, and soak up gentle belly rubs. She enjoys her walks and does beautifully on a leash. Nala sleeps comfortably in her crate and relaxes in her playpen when her foster mom is at work. Hi, my name is Ginny! I am a 6 y/o Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie), weighing in at 11 pounds. I was surrendered to Zoe’s House by a breeder who didn't need me anymore. I’ve been hanging out with my awesome foster family for a while so they could get to know me and help me find my forever family. My foster Mom said I was a little standoffish at first, but it didn’t take me long to warm up once I knew I was safe and no one would hurt me. Since then, I’ve been loving all the attention I get from my foster family. My ideal family would be one that gives me a LOT of attention. I thrive on cuddling, hugs and being as close to my humans as possible. I really hope my forever family will allow me to sleep in bed with them and allow me on their couch to cuddle. I love my people so much that a home where people are home more often than not would be great. I get along well with the other pups in my foster home but I would be perfectly fine being your one and only. My foster home has older kids and I think they are great. Younger kids (under 13) make me nervous. I’m housebroken and will stand by the door when I need to go out. Please remember that regression is normal in new environments. I do not need a home with a fence since I’m fine being taken out to the yard on a leash. I do need more practice going for walks around the neighborhood so I hope my forever family will work on that with me. Zoe’s House has made sure I got spayed and I had some mammary tumors removed. Thankfully the tumors were benign. I’ve also had my teeth professionally cleaned and I had about half of them pulled out. I’m up to date on vaccines and preventatives. I have a clear bill of health and am ready to move on to my forever!
