Story
Hi!! I'm Blanche The Bichon. I am 4 years old and I was surrendered from a commercial breeder. I've had a few litters of puppies but no more pups for me. I've been spayed and have all my vaccines. I am enjoying life in my new foster home. I'm a little timid and shy at first but I am learning what it's like to be loved. That petting thing is pretty nice. I really like the resident puppies here. We cuddle together. They have been teaching me what it's like to be a dog. I really like the warm jacket my foster mom put on me. It keeps me toasty warm. I'm learning to potty outside but sometimes I don't like going out in the cold. I am learning to follow my puppy friends outside. I've learned a lot so far but need a family who will be patient with me as I continue to learn. I really like to lounge. I enjoy being in my crate. I feel safe in there. I haven't quite figured out what toys are or how to play with them yet but I have such a sweet disposition. Blanche would do best in a home with another calm dog and no children under 12. A small fenced area would be best too as Blanche doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet. During her spay, we removed a small mammary tumor that was grade 1 cancer, but the good news is that it was caught early and the margins are all clear! Blanche is being fostered in Berks County. If you believe that Blanche might be a good fit for you, please apply at https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt. Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Iris is a nearly 9 year old spayed female Bichon Frise who weighs 10.6 lbs. Iris came to All 4 Paws from a breeding kennel after she wasn't useful for breeding. Iris has spent all nine years of her life in a kennel. She produced countless litters of cute little fluffy puppies that were in high demand. While her puppies found loving homes, Iris was left behind, never understanding that life for her should be different than four walls and a concrete floor... until now. Due to neglect, Iris needed 26 teeth extracted. Now that she's received the medical and tender loving care she deserves, she is starting her journey to the life she deserves! Iris is on the shy side and is still getting used to her new life as a cherished pet. Her foster mom is earning her trust and already seeing glimpses of her true personality. She begs for attention by standing on her back legs and clapping her paws together, wagging her little tail feverishly. Once she gains some confidence, we have no doubt she'll blossom into a devoted companion! Iris would benefit from having a canine companion in her forever home that she can learn from and doesn't seem to mind cats. She is working on her house and leash training, but in time we have no doubt she'll catch on. All Iris needs is a quieter environment and a little patience to reach her full potential. Please helps us find this special girl the forever home she so desperately deserves! Story
Moon is a 5.5 year old spayed female Bichon Frise who weighs 14 lbs. She came to All 4 Paws from a breeding kennel after she was no longer wanted for breeding purposes. Moon is lucky to be alive. The moment she was handed over to us by the breeding kennel we knew she needed medical care. She had a large inguinal hernia and pyometra. Her uterus was filled with fluid and completely entrapped in the hernia. Pyometra is a serious and life-threatening infection of the uterus in dogs caused by bacteria and hormonal changes. She also had a mammary mass that needed to be removed and sent for biopsy. Our friends at East Bradford Vet Hospital performed life-saving surgery and she has recovered nicely. The biopsy was benign! Now, Moon is ready to start the next chapter of her life as a cherished pet! This little girl is still very timid and unsure of her new surroundings. She has started to explore at her foster home with the help of the other dogs she is living with. She will need a confident canine companion in her forever home to help her learn the ropes and feel safe. Moon didn't seem to mind the cats she was introduced to. Normal things involved with being a dog like going for leash walks and being inside are all new to Moon. She panics and wants to hide when she is afraid. A home with a yard in a quiet environment will be important to her progress. It breaks our hearts to see her so unsure, but it's clear she really wants to trust! Despite being afraid, Moon has been nothing but sweet! We have really enjoyed watching her slowly come out of her shell and can tell she is a total sweetheart! She is starting to beg for food and has even settled into the routine of the home, though she is still wary of being petted or picked up. With time and patience Moon will surely blossom into a devoted companion - all she needs is a chance. Please help us find Moon the forever family she's been dreaming of!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Moon and consider donating towards their medical care: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/all-4-paws-rescueInterested in adopting? Have you traveled down the road and back again in search of a pal and a confidant? Well, look no further, the Golden Girls are available for adoption at PK! Introducing Dorothy, a sweet 4–5-year-old Bichon Frise weighing in at 19 pounds. Dorothy's journey began in a puppy mill, but after busting out, she’s looking forward to a brighter future. Observant and gentle, Dorothy finds solace in the company of furry friends and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion. Patience is key as Dorothy adjusts, requiring a family willing to provide a nurturing environment where she can blossom at her own pace. Vigilance is necessary initially, as Dorothy may be inclined to run off, making careful monitoring around doors and gates imperative. We are looking for her furever home that has a fenced yard for Dorothy to explore and learn how to dog, safely. She can be kitty-tested if you have cats at home. Also, she would be fine in a home with responsible children who will keep her safe indoors. If you believe Dorothy might be your Golden Girl, head on over to lvpeaceablekingdom.info to apply! Story
"Greetings! I am Magic - formerly known as Fonzy. I am a very special boy with a lot to offer. First and foremost, my Magic dust! You'll be so charmed by me that the only explanation is something supernatural! I have lived a super hard life in my short year and a half on your mortal earth. I was on my own - I don't know how long it was but my hair got very matted and I got really skinny while I was a free man. I can be a little stand offish with new people, but if you give me a minute, I'll come to you when I am ready to share my charms. When you come meet me, don't forget that whiffle balls are my favorite!" Magic is a 1.5 year old boy who loves being active! He loves fetch, frizbee, walks, and car rides! He is a busy body who likes having things to do. He is a brilliant dog who can be taught any trick or skill. So far, he knows Sit, Down, Come, and his name! He is also working on learning Shake, Spin, and Speak. In his foster home, Magic has learned basic dog skills like housebreaking, playing with toys, sharing his space with humans, and is working on life with other animals. He loves going for walks in nature! He is a fantastic hiking buddy with very good leash manners. Magic went without essentials for too long. He is learning to appreciate warm beds, regular meals, vet care, and most importantly, endless love. He has so much potential to grow, and we want him to blossom into the gentleman we know he can be! Magic has been repeatedly failed by humans and it shows. He will do best in a home with no other dogs, and no people under the age of 18. With proper socialization and behavior modification, he may be able to live with other animals in the future. Magic takes daily medication for anxiety and this will need continued during transition to a new home. It is possible that he will be able to be weaned off this medication in the future. Magic is being fostered in southern Lancaster county. Interested adopters must be willing to travel to his foster home to meet him, and bring along any current dogs for the meet and greet. Magic is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. Please apply online at www.zoeshouserescue.com to schedule a time to speak with his foster mom for more information about him. Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Are you searching for the perfect lucky charm? Look no further, you've found her! Meet Clover, a three-year-old shih tzu/poodle mix. Clover is a sweet, friendly dog, and has puppy-level playfulness with none of the destruction! At only 14 lbs, she packs a lot of personality in her small frame! She loves to go for walks, play with her stuffed toys (and any scrunchies/socks her foster family leaves lying around), and snuggle with her family members. Clover is house trained, but some regression is expected when she is transitioning homes. She is friendly with other dogs, but would prefer a home where she can be the center of attention and get all of the affection her family can dole out! She loves respectful kids, but due to her petite size, and because she does not like to be squeezed, children in the family should be 8+. Clover loves cats... maybe more than they love her! She must have had feline friends before coming into rescue, because she likes to play with them. She will try to play 'chase' so her adopter would need to have a dog-friendly cat or a cat-free home. Clover considers herself a guard dog and likes to look out the window to let you know when visitors or packages are arriving. She follows her foster parents around the house and loves nothing more than to be with them. She will try to follow them out the door, so potential adopters will have to be careful she doesn't do so. School pickup is one of her favorite times of day, when she can see her kids and meet her canine neighborhood friends. She walks well on a leash, but prefers a harness over a collar. She also loves to run around her neighbor's fenced in backyard, so one in her adopter's home would be a plus, but not a requirement. She does not like to be crated, but is fine with gates. Clover prefers to be hand fed her food, or for her food to be placed directly on a silicone mat or plate vs. a bowl. She has a sensitive stomach, so new food and treats should be introduced slowly. Clover is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, heart worm negative and on preventatives, and has recently had a dental. Due to her fur, she will need to be brushed regularly and groomed every 6-8 weeks. Her adoption donation is $450. Do you have room in your home for the ultimate good luck charm? Apply today! Story
Hi, I'm Dot (but I have lots of nicknames- Dottie Girl, Dot Dot, Dorothy)! I'm a 5 year old shitzu poodle mix who weighs about 20 pounds. I've not yet met an animal or person, big or small that I haven't greeted with a wagging tail. My foster mom says I'm the friendliest foster she's ever had. I'm learning quickly how to walk on a leash, and only need short walks. I sleep well in a crate, but my preference would be to snuggle up close by you. My foster family has been gating me in their mud room when they have to leave the house and I've been such a good girl with that set up. I've taken quite a few car rides and don't mind them at all! I love food, treats, chew toys and curling up on your lap. My foster mom thinks I'm the most perfect girl! Dot was surrendered to Zoe's House by a commercial breeder. She is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and has been spayed. She had quite a few teeth pulled since being rescued, but has transitioned well back to dry kibble. Dot will require some regular grooming. She will do best with a family who is home often or has another pup to keep her company. She is such a little social butterfly! If Dot would be the perfect addition to your family, please apply at zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading pa 19608
