Lucky is 10 months old, still small, incredibly affectionate, and full of personality. He purrs nonstop, loves to play fetch, wrestle, run through our legs like tunnels, watch birds from the window, and “help” with laundry. His favorite thing is simply being near his people — he wants to be your little sidekick in everything you do. Lucky’s story began with heartbreak but also with love. Last summer, Peggy found him abandoned and injured in the street as a tiny newborn kitten. She brought him home, and lovingly nursed him back to health. Sadly, Peggy unexpectedly passed away, leaving Lucky without the person he loved most. We have been helping Peggy’s family care for Lucky while searching for the special home he deserves, since we already have two cats and cannot keep another pet long term. He has adjusted beautifully in our home and has been loved by our whole family, but he truly deserves a forever home where he can feel secure and adored again. He has already overcome so much in his young life, and we are hoping the next chapter of his story is a happy one. Please help us find Lucky the special home he deserves. I’m social once I get to know you—and once I do, I’ll soak up your attention like a sunbeam through a window. I also love romping around with my siblings (Amarillo, Rojo, Azule, and Naranja—we’re quite the colorful bunch!), and I always use my litter box like a pro. No picky eater problems here, either. She knows how beautiful she is and will pose for you, but only if you don’t have a camera in your hand! (Isn’t that just like a Diva?) She is not a fan of being chased or picked up, but if you let her love you on her terms, she is tenderly affectionate. She is a BIG fan of fluffy blankets and pillows and if you have one in your bed, she will happily cuddly up right next to you and make you the BEST biscuits you have ever had. She wants to be best friends with every cat she has ever met and while is scared of dogs initially, she loves to cuddle with ones who are mellow and safe for her. Her favorite toys are feathers on strings and plastic springs and while initially timid, she loves treats and will eat from your hand once you are have been allowed into her inner circle of trust. She is the sweetest of the sweet and if you are lucky enough to cuddle with her, you will have your heart melted by her whisper chirps and meows and warmed by her loving purr.
