When he first arrived at DPR as a tiny kitten, he wasn’t quite sure what to make of everything—but he has come such a long way. James Alden is calm, observant, and prefers to take his time getting comfortable, and once he does, he shows a warm, soft affection that feels incredibly special. He’s wonderful with other cats and dogs, finding comfort and confidence in their company, and he enjoys being part of the household without needing to be the center of attention. What he needs most is an adopter who appreciates a kitten with a quieter nature and is happy to continue helping him build confidence at his own pace. Critter came into our care in rough shape as he had been recently dumped an established Colony and the resident cats were not so welcoming. Upon intake he had beat up ears and missing fur but he's doing so much better now and all his fur has grown back and his ears are doing better too. He's very outgoing and chatty he'll follow you around the house like a little shadow, though he can be a bit of a tripping hazard for individuals with mobility issues. He's very sweet & gentle with humans and other cats too. He can be a little grumbly early on in introductions with new feline companions, but he's never aggressive without provocation. The key to his heart and introductions are snacks for sure.

Hi, I’m Jack I’ve just entered my senior years, and with age comes extra love and loyalty. I’m a very affectionate boy who truly bonds with my people. I’ll follow you to the bathroom (someone has to keep watch!) and sleep at the foot of your bed every night to make sure you’re safe.I’m happiest as the only cat in the home. I like having my space and attention to myself, and definitely I do best without other male cats around.I’m incredibly clean; I even tidy up after other cats sometimes! Say hello to Ultra, the wild half of a dynamic and loving duo. Chubby and wide-eyed, he's pretty characteristic of most other black cats--weird, excitable and extremely tolerant. When he isn't tormenting his sister or kicking the 700th toy under the couch he will not hesitate to let you know that he wants your love and attention. He's quite shy and skittish at first, but his big personality can be brought out of him with patience and treats. He will often extend his paw to rest it on your face to make sure you don't go anywhere while he's sleeping.Both he and his sister have been allowed to spend time outside in our yard since they were young. They never go far and always come when called (or when the auto-feeder goes off). Ideally you would have a yard or porch in which they can get accustomed to and are allowed to explore during the day. Ultimately it's fine if not.

Looking for Loving Homes for Three Sweet Sibling Cats Making this decision has been incredibly difficult, but I am looking for loving homes for three wonderful cats who deserve more attention and care than I am currently able to provide. A few years ago, I took in a stray cat who unexpectedly had kittens, and over time my one-cat household grew to seven cats. As a new mom, managing such a large number of cats has become overwhelming. While all three cats are healthy, spayed/neutered, and very affectionate, they have ongoing litter box issues that have become increasingly difficult and expensive for me to manage. These cats are approximately 2 years old and have lived together their entire lives. They are very social, get along well with other cats, and are accustomed to a multi-cat household. They are playful, loving, and enjoy spending time with their people.
