🖤 Meet Mottie – A Tiny Soul with a Big, Brave Heart 🐾In a world that doesn’t always slow down, Mottie is a gentle reminder to pause, look closer, and fall in love with the quiet magic. This sleek little gentleman, wrapped in midnight fur and glowing amber eyes, carries both wonder and resilience in every soft step he takes.Mottie is FeLV+, but that diagnosis doesn’t define him—it simply makes him extra special. He is affectionate, sweet-natured, and endlessly curious. He greets the world with wide eyes and an open heart, ready to explore every toy, every shadow, every new adventure life places in front of him. When playtime winds down, he’s just as happy curling up for cuddles, purring his way into your soul. He’s the kind of kitten who feels like a love letter in fur—gentle, hopeful, and full of quiet joy.Mottie would thrive in a home where he can be cherished for exactly who he is—either as your one-and-only or with other FeLV+ friends. At an adopter’s discretion, Mottie may also live with non-FeLV cats who are up to date on vaccinations. We always encourage adopters to speak with their veterinarian about what setup is best for their home and current pets.Mottie isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for his person.Someone who sees not a diagnosis, but a beautiful little life ready to be loved. And once you meet him, you’ll understand—Mottie isn’t just a kitten. He’s a heart waiting to come home. 🖤✨

Story
Tinkie - 2-3 years old, FIV+ Tinkie’s sweetness didn’t come from nowhere. We know she was once loved, you can see it in the way she trusts, the way she seeks connection, and how naturally affection comes to her. Somewhere along the way, this gentle girl found herself on the streets with newborn babies to protect. And when help finally appeared, Tinkie didn’t run from it, she accepted it immediately, as if she knew this was her chance to be safe again. From that day on, she has been nothing but grateful and loving. Since coming into rescue, she has shown us her true self: affectionate, engaging, and quietly joyful. Her kittens have all found their forever homes, and now it’s finally Tinkie’s turn. Tinkie is playful, talkative, and full of personality. She loves being involved in whatever you’re doing and has a special talent for climbing to the highest perch in the room so she can supervise life from above. Window watching is serious business, and she approaches it with focus, curiosity, and the contentment of a cat who is finally safe. Playtime brings out her fun, bouncy side, she’s energetic, joyful, and always ready for the next round. While Tinkie can coexist with respectful cats, her heart truly belongs to her humans. She would absolutely thrive as an only cat, soaking up all the attention, affection, and conversation she deserves after everything she’s been through. Tinkie is FIV positive — and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. FIV+ cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives, especially as indoor companions. What she needs isn’t special treatment — just love, regular vet care, and a safe home. She is healthy, vibrant, and so ready to begin her next chapter. After surviving life on the streets and raising her babies, Tinkie deserves stability. She deserves warmth. She deserves someone who chooses her. If you’re looking for a companion with presence, sparkle, and a little sass — a cat who will keep you company, make you laugh, and fill your home with warmth — Tinkie might just be your perfect match. Tinkie is estimated to be between 2-3 years old as of Jan 26. She is fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and flea-free. She tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Check out more photos and videos of Tinkie: Tinkie Photos If you are interested in meeting Tinkie or want to learn more about her please fill out an application here: Adoption application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org Facts over Fear - Understanding FIV cats: Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, also known as FIV, is a virus commonly found in cats worldwide. FIV is not typically fatal for cats, and positive cats can live healthy lives. FIV+ cats can face a compromised immune system, but with regular annual exams and medical care they can live long lives. FIV+ and non FIV+ cats can live together as long as they get along well and are comfortable sharing space. FIV does not require any special medications or diets and can only be spread to other cats through mating or deep bite wounds

Story
Some cats take a long time to trust the world again. Mimosa decided to try anyway. When we first met her, she was starving, sick with an upper respiratory infection, and doing everything she could to keep her two kittens alive outdoors. Even then, through all the fear and exhaustion, there was something impossibly gentle about her. She never fought us while we treated her. She quietly accepted medications, care, and even nebulizer treatments, almost as if she understood that someone was finally trying to help her for the first time. Mimosa is one of the softest souls we have ever rescued. She is incredibly gentle, submissive, and sensitive — the kind of cat who would rather quietly walk away than ever start conflict. Because of this, she truly thrives as the only pet in the home, where she can finally feel safe enough to fully relax and let herself be loved. And once she does, she completely melts. She transforms into the sweetest tiny shadow, following you from room to room, curling up right beside you in bed, leaning into pets, and looking at you with the softest, most grateful eyes. She plays with wand toys and feathers like a kitten discovering joy for the very first time. She adores cozy cave beds, sunny window perches, and simply being near her person. Mimosa is still so young, only around a year and a half old, but she has already survived more hardship than most cats ever should. After spending her short life trying to survive outside and care for babies of her own, all she wants now is someone to love her, spoil her, and let her be their little best friend. And honestly? She will love you right back with her whole heart. Check out more photos and videos of Mimosa here:

Story
Mira arrived in this world mostly made of baby fluff and hope — about 90% fluff, 10% kitten, and 100% heart. Born in a homeless camp to their devoted mom, Era, Mira and her siblings survived a devastating fire that destroyed everything they knew. Rescued at just 4 weeks old, Mira didn't fight being saved—she seemed instantly grateful. From the very beginning, she would simply sit in your arms, purring herself to sleep as if she already knew she was finally safe. Personality: Soft, Observant, and Sweetly Loyal Mira has blossomed into a beautiful medium-haired princess, elegant, gentle, and quietly affectionate. She loves being in the middle of the action—not to cause chaos, but to observe everything. Her favorite spots include the center of the room and the top of the kitchen island, where she can watch life unfold like a little queen overlooking her kingdom. She follows her people from room to room and happily settles into your lap whenever you sit down, content simply to be close. One of her favorite things is climbing onto your shoulder so she can see the world from your point of view. Life is simply better when it's shared. Mira adores other cats, but her heart belongs to her sister, Miya. These two are deeply bonded—they play together, nap together, groom each other, and help each other feel brave. Miya's playful confidence encourages Mira to explore, while Mira's calm, gentle nature balances her sister perfectly. They truly bring out the best in one another and are happiest when they're together. Because of their special bond, Mira and Miya are looking for a forever home together. We know they'll make an incredible addition to one lucky family. Check out more photos and videos of Mira: Mira Photo album Estimated 7 months old (as of July) Fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and microchipped FIV/FeLV negative To meet Mira & Miya, start by filling out an adoption application here: Adoption application form Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org.

Story
Scrappy's Mama found us a few weeks before she was born. Her and her sister's and one brother were born on March 22nd and have all been consistently small for their ages but deemed very healthy by our vet. She is bonded with her sister Midnight so ideally they could be adopted together. Scrappy is very social and likes to play with her siblings and our Yorkiehuahua mix. Her mother is only 6lbs and I don't expect any of the kittens to get much bigger than that, but I have no idea who the father is as her mother found us as a stray herself. We're keeping her mother and one of her siblings, but would love to find the remaining kittens a forever home.
