Story
Sylus is a sweet, loving, cuddly, 2-3 year old boy, that was abandoned in our neighborhood. He would meow when called and follow me while walking my dog, completely unafraid and looking for lots of pets and love. When we pick him up, he just goes limp in our arms and lets us pet him and hold him like a baby. He does have the tiniest tuft of white hair on his neck, but otherwise he is all black. We took him to the vet, where they confirmed (with animal services as well) he was chipped and abandoned. He deserves a loving forever home, with lots of love and pets, where he will never be abandoned again.

Story
Shiloh is a beautiful, outgoing, and incredibly smart young male cat we rescued as a kitten about 1.5 years ago. He is playful, social, loves children, and even carries his toys around the house like a little dog. He’s never had an accident, is fully litter trained, and enjoys being part of family life. He’s so special and unique. He doesn’t know a stranger. Truly a magical little panther. We are looking for a new home for him only because he has a very strong prey drive toward our older female cat. Despite months of slow introductions, training, separation, enrichment, and guidance from two veterinarians, he remains fixated on her and tries to dominate her. Shiloh would thrive as the only cat in a loving home. He’s affectionate, interactive, playful, and wonderful with kids. With no other cats to trigger that instinct, he will be an amazing companion for the right family. He uses his scratching posts and loves his toys. We will include his litter box, food dish, posts and toys.

Story
I found Kuro in April on Cascade Road when he was only a few weeks old. He was tiny, with his eyes and ears still closed, crying and crawling into the street late at night. I stopped traffic, picked him up, and took him with me. He was cold and hungry, so I rushed to an emergency vet for supplies and kept him warm and fed. He's been my companion ever since. Kuro is a fully indoor kitten who is very social, playful, and affectionate, and he has no experience with other animals. He’s never worn a collar and doesn’t do well with noisy bell collars, he thinks anything with a bell is a toy. Unfortunately, Im moving and won't be able to take him with me. I'll include his favorite blanket, his latest vet documents, and some of his toys, and I'm looking for a loving, experienced cat home that can give him the same care and love he’s always known.

Story
Meet Socrates The Fearless Leader With Endless Questions If curiosity had a face, it would be Socrates. Born in a homeless camp to their resilient mom Era, Socrates and his siblings entered the world surrounded by hardship. After a devastating fire destroyed the camp, these tiny survivors were rescued at just 4 weeks old, still blue-eyed and learning whether humans could be trusted. Socrates didn’t hesitate long. He walked right up and asked, “So… what’s next?” Personality: Bold, Brave, and Born to Lead Socrates is the clear leader of the group. He is fearless, confident, and always the first to explore something new. New room? First in. New toy? Already claimed. New human? Already greeting you. While the other kittens eventually collapse into a cuddle puddle after hours of play, Socrates keeps going — exploring, investigating, learning. He’s the most independent thinker of the bunch, happily entertaining himself when needed, yet always choosing to come back for affection. Socrates needs to know what you’re doing at all times. Cooking? He’s supervising. Cleaning? He’s helping. Sitting down? He’s already there. He is mesmerized by anything new and thrives on enrichment — toys, food puzzles, kitten TV, and interactive play. He’s endlessly happy, tail up, eyes bright, and always ready for the next adventure. Socrates adores his baby brother Cicero and would love to be adopted with him. He’s protective, playful, and endlessly patient — the best big brother. That said, Socrates truly loves everyone and would also do beautifully in a home with another playful kitten who can match his energy and curiosity. He’s social, affectionate, and confident in new environments — a kitten who makes himself at home wherever he goes. Despite his independence and bravery, Socrates is deeply affectionate. He seeks attention, loves being involved, and wants to be part of every moment. He’s the kind of kitten who makes you laugh, follows you everywhere, and fills your home with joy. Socrates must be adopted together with his bonded sibling Cicero. Here is some information about why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Check out more photos and videos of Socrates here: Socrates Photo album Socrates is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Jan 5 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV, FelV and heartworms. To meet Socrates, start by filling out an application here: Adoption application form Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
Shadow is a sweet, mild mannered older cat. She is very independent and does not like help getting up and down the stairs. Her days of being curious and mischievous are long behind her. She is affectionate on her own terms, like most cats are. She is up to date on her vaccines, has been spayed and is healthy for her age. She had labwork done recently and I can provide those results. I will also provide her two litter boxes, litter, toys and food to come with her.
