Story
Meet Texas Pete (Action Superstar) Texas Pete — The Spicy Superstar! 5 months old - Silky & shiny fur - Brave, brilliant, and full of heart Meet Texas Pete, the little cowboy with a big personality and a heart of gold. He and his siblings found themselves, through no fault of their own, in a rural shelter facing euthanasia. But fate (and a quick rescue mission!) had other plans. We pulled them just in time, and Texas Pete has been showing everyone what it means to make the most of a second chance. At first, he and his siblings were shy, unsure of what to make of humans. But Pete, ever the brave one, was the first to decide that people aren’t so bad after all. His confidence helped the others come out of their shells, too, he’s that natural leader everyone loves to follow. Now, Texas Pete is a certified superstar. He’s playful, energetic, and the first to come running the moment you pick up a feather toy. He’s always ready to show off his ninja jumps — yes, the kind that defy gravity — and he’s convinced he should be working as a professional action model. In between his stunts, Pete makes time for his daily routines: following you into the bathroom every morning to make sure you’re doing okay, sleeping in bed with you at night, and demanding a fair share of cuddles and head scratches. He’s also ridiculously smart. Food puzzles? Solved. Treats? Oh, he’ll do anything for them — and he’s not shy about training you in the art of snack delivery. He loves watching Cat TV and even enjoys playing tablet games for cats (yes, he’s tech-savvy). He’s also learning to walk on a harness and leash — though he’s pretty sure his foster mom is the one being trained. Texas Pete is a gentle soul with kittens, grooming them and acting like the best big brother ever. He loves other cats, adores attention, and thrives on companionship. He’s silky soft, loves being brushed, and even tolerates nail trims and teeth brushing like a little gentleman. He’s the complete package — playful, affectionate, curious, confident, and oh-so-loving. Texas Pete is still a kitten and thrives on companionship, thus he needs to be adopted with one of his siblings or into a home with another playful cat to match his energy and keep his big heart full. Here is some information why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Pete are estimated to be 4.5 mo old as of Oct 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV and heartworms Check out more photos and videos of Pete here: Pete Photos To meet Pete, start by filling out an application here: Adoption Application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
Tinkie’s sweetness didn’t come from nowhere. We know she was once loved, you can see it in the way she trusts, the way she seeks connection, and how naturally affection comes to her. Somewhere along the way, this gentle girl found herself on the streets with newborn babies to protect. And when help finally appeared, Tinkie didn’t run from it, she accepted it immediately, as if she knew this was her chance to be safe again. From that day on, she has been nothing but grateful and loving. Since coming into rescue, she has shown us her true self: affectionate, engaging, and quietly joyful. Her kittens have all found their forever homes, and now it’s finally Tinkie’s turn. Tinkie is playful, talkative, and full of personality. She loves being involved in whatever you’re doing and has a special talent for climbing to the highest perch in the room so she can supervise life from above. Window watching is serious business, and she approaches it with focus, curiosity, and the contentment of a cat who is finally safe. Playtime brings out her fun, bouncy side, she’s energetic, joyful, and always ready for the next round. Tinkie can coexist with other respectful cats, but she’ll be honest: it’s not her top choice. What she cares for most is human affection! She would absolutely shine as an only cat, where she can soak up all the attention, affection, and conversation she deserves after everything she’s been through. If you’re looking for a cat full of personality, presence, and sparkle — a companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and fill your home with warmth (and a little sass) — Tinkie might just be your perfect match. Tinkie is estimated to be between 2-3 years old as of Jan 26. She is fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and flea-free. She tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Check out more photos and videos of Tinkie: Tinkie Photos If you are interested in meeting Tinkie or want to learn more about her please fill out an application here: Adoption application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org

Story
I found Kuro back in April when he was only a few weeks old. He was tiny, with his eyes and ears still closed, crying and crawling into the street late at night. I stopped traffic, picked him up, and took him with me. He was cold and hungry, so I rushed to an emergency vet for supplies and kept him warm and fed. He's been my companion ever since. Kuro is a fully indoor kitten who is very social, playful, and affectionate, and he has no experience with other animals. Unfortunately, I'm moving and won't be able to take him with me. I'll include his favorite blanket, his latest vet documents, and some of his toys, and I'm looking for a loving, experienced cat home that can give him the same care and love he’s always known.

PLEASE HELP MILEY — FOSTER TO ADOPT Found on the side of the road in Douglas County, Miley was tiny, starving, and sick with coccidia when a kind-hearted couple stopped, scooped her up, and rushed her to the vet. Sadly, they couldn’t keep her—but thanks to them, and now our rescue, Miley is safe. Miley is a 3-month-old, TINY 3-pound kitten with 20 pounds of personality! She is ADORABLE in every sense of the word—a little talker, devoted lap-sitter, and a neck-cuddling lovebug. She absolutely adores people and is not shy about it. Right now, Miley is very lonely, which breaks our hearts—she should be growing up with a mom cat and siblings. Our rescue does not currently have other kittens, so we are urgently seeking a FOSTER-TO-ADOPT home WITH another kitten who can be her companion. She is truly a jewel of a little girl with shiny black fur and striking gold eyes. If you’re looking for a real companion, Miley will be your shadow and your best friend. PLEASE HELP MILEY! Story
Toby is one of the best cats I’ve had in my family. We adopted him (and his buddy) as a kitten from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2019. He’s grown into a great and smart cat who loves to play and snuggle up to those he’s close to. Best times are when he’s hanging out while I work, flopping on his side when he’s happy, and laying across my legs when I’m watching tv. He had a falling out with his buddy (our other cat) about a year ago and they no longer get along. He’s anxious with visitors and kids - needing a home that’s not too busy with visitors. He will deeply love an experienced cat person and has a calm and patient presence.

Name: Carol Ann Age: 8 months Color: White with soft gray patches Eyes: Warm, watchful, and quietly hopeful Personality: Affectionate, intelligent, sensitive, and deeply loyal Description: Carol Ann was the first one into the light, we thought he was a girl, the name stuck. He owns it and as long as you're calling, he's happy. He’s honestly the most loving cat I've ever met. He will try to give you kisses like a human, he will request that you put the phone down and live him with both hands. This cat's heart is so big, it breaks my heart to have to rehome him. He's so smart and his fur is super soft. I promise you you regret adopting him, he's an awesome cat. Ideal Home: Someone calm and affectionate, who sees the beauty in a soft gaze and a loving cat. Carol Ann would thrive with a loving human, a gentle sibling, or both. He’s not flashy, he’s forever.
