Story
Salem was the first of two Bombay cats to find me back in 2024 when I moved in to a 2nd floor apartment with a shared yard. He was scared, skittish, and clearly had been through a lot, his ear is clipped from a TNR. Winter was coming, and I couldn't stand the thought of him being out in the cold, so I worked to earn his trust and decided to build him a little cat house outside at first. Slowly, he began to trust me enough that he came inside. He loves to sit by the window and look at the birds. He truly is the sweetest Bombay cat. Salem is a soft, shy soul. He loves quiet spaces, gentle people, and sleeping! His favorite toy is an interactive toy with a bird tail. He absolutely adores my small dog Scooby. He does good with small dogs that are calm like him. I don't know his age. But he thrives in a calm quiet atmosphere. He's a very chill guy that spooks with chaos. He deserves someone who sees how special he is.

Story
Moonlight is a bright, playful, curious little guy who is only a little over a year old, full of energy and personality. He loves my small dog Scooby, though he can be a bit sassy to Salem and Scooby sometimes. Just like a mischievous little brother! He is quite active. Loves to play, cuddle, chasing balls, and eat! He would thrive in an active home. He is just a big kitten ❤ Very affectionate and vocal. He just melts when given affection. He is very food motivated and is such a very bright boy. He started as a stray just like Salem, and soon enough he was in our home. Moonlight just like Salem mean so much and are special boys. I'm hoping he can find a loving family that loves him as much as I do.

Story
Handsome Dexter is a gorgeous all-black cat who was rescued in South Brooklyn. We can tell he someone's pet at some time, but either being outside for a long time or suffering abuse in his past has made him shy. He must start in a confined space where he can't hide and with a human who is willing to spend time petting him and building his confidence. You can see by the video, he is a sweet guy who loves petting and is just waiting for that moment to trust completely. He truly relishes the touch and loves having his butt skritched, too! Here is sweet Dexter: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Xz-0OopPVSE Dexter is about 4 years old and healthy. He is neutered, tested fiv/felv negative, up to date on vaccines and ready for a wonderful, kind furrever home. If you would like to schedule a meet & greet, please go to our application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/. Make sure you click on Dexter, then identify Claire as the RESCUER and fill out the form! Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel. Every dime goes to saving the next homeless angel on the street. Story
Annabelle and Tickety-Boo are gorgeous black cats, mother and son. These beautiful cats are stunning. Annabelle is a short-haired black beauty, while her son Tickety-Boo is medium-haired and quite fluffy with a gorgeous, big tail. These two are very sweet. Annabelle is a bit shy but she loves to head-butt your hand and adores petting. Tickety-Boo is a typical curious kitten who adores being touched and of course loves to play. Both of these gorgeous cats are happy to be off the street and safe. It's hard to believe such beauties were homeless.  Annabelle is about 2 years old and Tickety-boo is about 6 months old. These beautiful cats are healhty, felv/fiv negative, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and ready for a wonderful furrever home. Story
2Cosmo (black male) and Luna (gray female) are the most gentle, sweetest fur babies ever! They love being pet and push their faces into your hand for more, all while purring very loudly! They were being fostered in a family with 2 young children and are very easy going with them. They love to play with toy mice and then snuggle with their foster family and each other. These bonded kitties were rescued from a street colony in Gerritsen Beach where most of them are friendly and obviously dumped.  Both kitties are spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cosmo is positive for felv and negative for fiv. Luna is negative for felv/fiv and vaccinated against felv. We just could not separate these 2, so Luna will need felv vaccines every year in order to stay with her boyfriend. If you'd like to meet these 2 beautiful sweethearts please complete our online application here https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ and write Donna as their rescuer.  Thank you for thinking of a rescue animal in need of a loving home! Adopting one animal will help to open space for future furry-friends dreaming of forever homes! All Brooklyn Animal Action cats and dogs are available to adopt, foster and foster-to-adopt.
