Story
2Cosmo (black male) and Luna (gray female) are the most gentle, sweetest fur babies ever! They love being pet and push their faces into your hand for more, all while purring very loudly! They were being fostered in a family with 2 young children and are very easy going with them. They love to play with toy mice and then snuggle with their foster family and each other. These bonded kitties were rescued from a street colony in Gerritsen Beach where most of them are friendly and obviously dumped.  Both kitties are spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cosmo is positive for felv and negative for fiv. Luna is negative for felv/fiv and vaccinated against felv. We just could not separate these 2, so Luna will need felv vaccines every year in order to stay with her boyfriend. If you'd like to meet these 2 beautiful sweethearts please complete our online application here https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ and write Tara as their rescuer.  Thank you for thinking of a rescue animal in need of a loving home! Adopting one animal will help to open space for future furry-friends dreaming of forever homes! All Brooklyn Animal Action cats and dogs are available to adopt, foster and foster-to-adopt. Story
Annabelle and Tickety-boo are gorgeous black cats, mother and son. These beautiful cats are stunning. Annabelle is a short-haired black beauty, while TB is medium-haired and quite fluffy with a gorgeous, big tail. These two are very sweet and gentle, and so happy to be safe and off the street. Hard to believe such beauties were homeless! They still are a bit scared and will run at sudden movements or noises, but they are getting better with time spent in their foster home. You can tell they really want to be petted, though they still sometimes get spooked by it. They are also learning to understand and enjoy kisses or headbutts, thanks to their foster mom, who’s working hard to get them used to affection and touch. She sometimes even shows them videos of cats cuddling with humans as “pro-cuddle propaganda”! This adorable pair are both somewhat uncoordinated, which can be fun to watch as they get better at navigating new surroundings. They love their food and mealtimes, especially TB, who will sometimes push his mom Annabelle out of the way to get her food even when he has food in his own dish! These two sweet cats absolutely LOVE each other and must be adopted as a bonded pair. TB is a sweet little mama's boy, constantly following Annabelle around and looking to her for comfort and reassurance. She is patient and loving with him and is truly the sun to his moon. All they need is a patient adopter with a calm household where they can settle in and blossom. Though they are unsure about being picked up, both Annabelle and TB are super gentle and sweet and their foster mom says they’ve never so much as scratched her. Both of them love to play – TB adores catching and running after toy mice and balls, while Annabelle loves rope toys and playing tug of war. Tickety-boo also has the cutest little squeaky meow you’ve ever heard. Annabelle is about 2 years old and Tickety-boo is about 10 mos. These beautiful cats are healthy, felv/fiv negative, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and ready for a wonderful furrever home together. If you would like to schedule a meet & greet, please go to our application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/. Make sure you click on Annabelle and Tickety-boo, then identify Claire as the RESCUER and fill out the form!     Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel. Every dime goes to saving the next homeless angel on the street. March 10, 2026, 4:00 pm

Story
Squish is a 5-month-old black kitten with a lot of love to give and a little extra character. He’s blind in one eye due to corneal scarring—it’s permanent, doesn’t need treatment, and doesn’t bother him at all. He gets around just fine and lives a totally normal kitten life. He’s super affectionate and wants attention from everyone—people, cats, dogs, whoever’s available. He’ll rub up on you (and everything else) just to remind you he’s there and would like some pets, please and thank you. He can get a little intense about affection when he’s excited, but it’s all in good fun. Because of his vision, he sometimes gets startled or a little growly if something surprises him—his depth perception is off, so things can catch him off guard. But he’s never aggressive, just momentarily unsure. He recovers quickly and goes right back to being a sweet, wiggly little guy. He gets along well with other cats and dogs and would do great in a home that understands he’s figuring things out in his own way. He’s a genuinely good kitten who just wants someone to love on him as much as he wants to love on them.
