Story
Meet the lovely Valentina! Valentina and her sweet baby were rescued from under a shed in southern NJ this past February. Now that her baby has been adopted, this young mama (estimated to be a little more than a year old) is ready to find her forever home too! Valentina is an absolute doll with her gorgeous silky black fur and stunning gold eyes. She’s a very vocal and affectionate girl who craves attention and love. She loves chin scratches, back rubs, and being talked to—she’ll gladly purr and headbutt you to show just how much she loves you. This sweet girl loves being cuddled, lounging in laps, or curling up in a cozy bed. In fact, she’s one of those rare cats who LOVES to be picked up and held in your arms! Despite being a wonderful mama, Valentina still has a playful side. She enjoys chasing balls and especially LOVES the laser pointer, as well as trying to catch any reflections she spots on the wall. One of her favorite pastimes is finding the highest perch in the room so she can keep an eye on everything happening around her. Valentina is also a total people cat—she’ll follow you around like a little shadow just to be near you, and if you’ve got a lap, she’s happy to curl up and relax there. Valentina is child-friendly and, with a proper introduction, she would get along just fine with a friendly dog or cat. Valentina is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all of her vaccines. This sweet, affectionate girl is too wonderful to be outdoors and deserves to be treated like the queen she is. She needs a loving, safe home where she can be showered with the attention she craves. If you think you could be the one to offer Valentina the forever home she deserves, please reach out and submit your adoption application today!

Story
Hi there, my name is Varis, and I’m looking for my forever home. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m still a sweet and loving cat who just wants to be cared for. I was originally adopted from a shelter, where I was given a second chance. Since then, I’ve had a couple of homes, and I’m currently with my third family. They’ve been really nice to me, but unfortunately, they’re moving, and they can’t take me with them on a long road trip. I’m not too fond of traveling, and I think the journey would be a little too tough for me. I do have a little condition—epilepsy. My seizures are rare, but they happen every now and then. My current family has been amazing at managing it, and I’m really good at bouncing back afterward. I’m mostly a calm and relaxed cat, but I can be playful when I’m in the mood. I love finding cozy spots to nap, and I’ll even curl up next to you if you’re feeling down. I’m looking for a kind and patient person or family who can give me the love and stability I need!

Honey Bear is available with his sister Ramona. We weren't sure if they would lose their eyes but their foster did a great job with their medications. As most of you know the corneal scarring does not hold them back at all. To meet them, please apply at https://linktr.ee/nyctfa

Story
Pafko is a rescue cat I got as a kitten from a foster. He is a little over five years old. He loves playing and climbing and is curious and friendly. He runs to the door to greet me when I get home and appreciates pets and cuddling. I have to move across the country to help family and sadly won’t be able to bring him. Looking for someone who will enjoy spending time with him and take good care of him—he’s a real sweet one.

Story
2Cosmo (black male) and Luna (gray female) are the most gentle, sweetest fur babies ever! They love being pet and push their faces into your hand for more, all while purring very loudly! They were being fostered in a family with 2 young children and are very easy going with them. They love to play with toy mice and then snuggle with their foster family and each other. These bonded kitties were rescued from a street colony in Gerritsen Beach where most of them are friendly and obviously dumped.  Both kitties are spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cosmo is positive for felv and negative for fiv. Luna is negative for felv/fiv and vaccinated against felv. We just could've separate these 2, so Luna will need felv vaccines every year in order to stay with her boyfriend. If you'd like to meet these 2 beautiful sweethearts please complete our online application here https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ and write Tara as their rescuer.  Thank you for thinking of a rescue animal in need of a loving home! Adopting one animal will help to open space for future furry-friends dreaming of forever homes! All Brooklyn Animal Action cats and dogs are available to adopt, foster and foster-to-adopt. Story
Meet Quake! She's a gorgeous, golden-eyed Bombay kitty who loves a windowsill and has plenty of energy for playtime. She and her brother Black Panther (listed separately) are from a large litter found on the street last summer, later named the Superhero kittens! They may have started out in a home and were dumped because their owners couldn't handle so many cats; the woman who asked us to help was giving them tons of love. Quake is  incredibly sweet, chill, playful and eager to be petted - she'll even give you a little headbutt when she wants affection. She's still a bit shy and needs a patient adopter who'll let her slowly settle in. Her foster parents say they can sense she wants to be more cuddly(!) and that, once she finds a calm furrever home to relax in, she will really start to blossom! As you can see from the photos, Quake has a particular affinity for plants and enjoys hiding out behind the leaves, hanging out near them, and even chewing on them (non-toxic plants are especially crucial with this gal!). Quake must be adopted into a home with another active, confident cat who can be a playmate and help bring him out of his shell! Quake is about 10 months old and healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, tested FIV-/FeLV- and up to date on all vaccinations. If you're interested in meeting Quake, fill out our application here:  https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ . Make sure you click on Quake and identify CLAIRE as the RESCUER when you fill out the form! Thank you for considering a rescued angel! Every dime goes to save another homeless kitty on the street.
