Story
Meet Colton!  Colton is a 4-year-old Lab/Border Collie/Shar Pei super mutt (according to his sibling’s DNA test!) and weighs about 45 lbs. He is incredibly smart, expressive, and a total tease when he wants to be—his emotions are written clearly on his face. Colton has lots of energy and would love an active family to keep up with him! He can be a little mischievous, and his favorite game is “catch me if you can,” followed closely by doing parkour in his kennel. Colton’s mother was rescued by animal control from a horrible abuse situation, and she gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies in the pound while charges were being filed against her owner. Once they were released, the rescue took in the mother and pups, and all have been thriving ever since. Colton is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. To apply, visit roseacresrescue.org.September 12, 2026, 6:18 pm

Story
Sammy is looking for the perfect family. Sammy will be two years old in December. He is a sweet, loving, housebroken Border Collie with a wonderful temperament and lots of energy. He loves to run, play and stay busy, and would thrive with an active family who has time to keep him engaged. I believe Sammy would do wonderfully with a family, especially one with children who would enjoy playing with him. He needs a yard to run in, attention, exercise and little "jobs" to keep his smart Border Collie brain busy. I am moving to New Orleans into a smaller home without a yard and know I will not be able to give Sammy the time, activity and outdoor space he deserves. This is a very difficult decision because Sammy is incredibly loving and bonds deeply with his people, but I want what is best for him. I am looking for the right family, not just any home.

Story
Stacy is a cheerful, outgoing young dog who’s ready to make friends wherever she goes—she’s just as happy bouncing over to greet new people as she is joining in with other dogs. She has that fun, youthful energy that makes everyday moments feel a little more playful, and she’d love a home where she can stay engaged with games, activity, and companionship. Despite her enthusiasm, Stacy walks nicely on leash and is an easy partner to take along on outings. She’s a bright, social pup who will bring a steady dose of joy without overwhelming the room.
