Story
Meet Colton!  Colton is a 4-year-old Lab/Border Collie/Shar Pei super mutt (according to his sibling’s DNA test!) and weighs about 45 lbs. He is incredibly smart, expressive, and a total tease when he wants to be—his emotions are written clearly on his face. Colton has lots of energy and would love an active family to keep up with him! He can be a little mischievous, and his favorite game is “catch me if you can,” followed closely by doing parkour in his kennel. Colton’s mother was rescued by animal control from a horrible abuse situation, and she gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies in the pound while charges were being filed against her owner. Once they were released, the rescue took in the mother and pups, and all have been thriving ever since. Colton is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. To apply, visit roseacresrescue.org.May 29, 2026, 10:57 am

Story
Charity is an engaging girl with a happy, lively attitude. Although not one for sitting still, she does know her sit command and also walks well on leash. She is eager to learn more and earn those training treats! After all, she loves you and she wants to please you! Yes, Charity is looking for an active partner and fast friend. She gets along with most dogs, but any dog friend needs to understand that she plays rough and loud. Charity shows signs of being housetrained, so she is ready to come right into your home and brighten your life. She is also cat-possible, if the cat doesn't mind an enthusiastic, in-your-space doggie friend. Est DOB: Mar 2023 * Est weight: 48# * Breed unknown - guess based on looksMarch 7, 2026, 7:28 pm

Good with dogs,
Story
Five months old. Twenty-five pounds. Sheltie crossed with border collie. Coat so soft you'll find yourself reaching down to pet him without realizing you're doing it. Meet Dutch. He's on track to grow into a 40 to 45 pound adult. Smart in the way only sheltie and border collie crosses are smart, picking up new commands in a day or two and remembering them. The kind of dog who watches you to figure out what you're going to do next. If you've ever wanted a dog you can actually train, this is the one. Dutch is a Velcro dog. He wants to be near his person. Working from home, watching TV, walking room to room, he's right there. But he's not clingy in a needy way. When it's time to play, he's just as happy out in the yard with another dog, burning off energy and coming back when he's done. He's currently in foster with six foster sisters and one foster brother and gets along with all of them. If you've got another dog at home, he already knows how to share space. Dutch came to us after someone dumped him at the side of the road. That part of his life is over. What he needs now is a person who's done looking and ready to commit. If that sounds like you, let's talk. Adoption fee will include: - neuter - microchip - first round puppy vaccinations
