Story
Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Snowflake is a 7-month-old female Border Collie mix who will need to be spayed before adoption. She was surrendered by her previous owners due to having too many pets. With her classic Border Collie look—shiny black coat and white markings—she’s a beautiful medium-sized girl at 37 pounds. Playful and full of energy, Snowflake would be an excellent candidate for agility training. She gets along well with dogs and children, and is ready to find a patient owner who will give her a loving, fun-filled life.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.*****June 27, 2026, 7:53 pm

Story
Rescued Lana 7 years ago from a shelter in Wyoming. Was my wife's college dog when we met. She has traveled with us throughout the United States and been a great companion dog. She's estimated to be about 10 years old, and is starting to slow down and enjoy the little things. She loves plushy, worn blankets, cuddles, walks, and be a part of anything you're doing. She's sassy, sweet, loving. She's got a lot of quirks. My wife and I just had out first son and don't have the ability to give her the attention she needs. She also can be food aggressive and with our 9month old roaming the house we are worried she could get territorial over a cracker. We are moving to a place where we have to significantly downsize our lives and it will put them in closer proximity it an incident happening. She recently visited the vet because she had been sneezing and snotting due to something possible being stuck in her nose. Other than that she is is great health. We love her; she needs a new home.

Story
Bandit was adopted at 3 months old and is now 7 months. He hates our daughter’s cat, but is overall good with our elderly dogs. He is a bit much for the older dogs at times. He needs a large yard or farm to be able to run around in to wear himself out. Very loving and playful dog. He needs somebody well experienced to train him. He does not bite, but does like to nip where teeth touch but never latches or leaves a mark on the skin.
