Story
Mila is a 4 year old Border Collie Mix, Vet believed it was a shepherd. We have had her since we was 5 weeks, the owners before us said she was 3 months and it was a chihuahua pom mix, and that she will only get a little bigger. However we could tell that wasnt the full story and since she had a great personality at such a young age we decided to save her. She is very clever and smart. It only takes a few tries to learn something with her, either good or bad. So sorry for some habits you might not like in advance, like we trained her to growl when she plays tug of war. she is house broken, she has off leash training and recall. knows many commands. Mila is crate trained.

Story
Taby was abandoned and we took her in. She had a liter of puppy’s. We found homes for them all. She is sweet and playful. Highly energetic but smart. She needs a space to run and play. I do not have the time to take her on walks or give her the best life she deserves. She is feee to a loving good home. She plays well with children and other dogs. She needs a home asap if possible. I have limited time and ability to care for her right now due to health issues and other obligations.

Story
Peso was bred by a male border collie and a female heeler. He has a big bark because he is protective, but he is the sweetest boy. We have never owned a cat so I am not sure how he is with them. He will need a fenced yard as he tends to run around looking for new friends.

Story
Johnny is an affectionate 8-year-old male Border Collie/Shepherd mix who recently was surrendered into our care. With his expressive eyes and gentle personality, he’s quickly become a staff favorite. He is great around other dogs. We have not cat tested him yet, however, that is always something that the staff members can go ahead and do. If you are my furever home, come visit me at Valley Animal Center's dog adoption center. To get a head start on the adoption process, you can also fill out the online pre-adoption application! After you fill it out, a dog care associate will contact you shortly. The form is found here: https://valleyanimal.org/dog-adoption-application/

Story
I don’t know what happened to her before I got her, but she has a lot of fear and anxiety. When I first started caring for her, she made great progress, especially when gently socializing with other dogs. Having another calm dog around really helped her confidence. She has never been aggressive—she may bark at unfamiliar people, but it’s always from fear. Loud noises also make her shake. Because of recent health and family issues, I can’t give her the stable, quiet home she needs, and her anxiety has gotten worse. She has all her shots and takes a monthly flea pill. She recently became so stressed that she stopped eating and drinking consistently, and pushing her seemed to make it worse. I believe her struggles are environmental, not medical. She is a very sweet, gentle dog who wants to feel safe. I’m hoping to find a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog, where she can rebuild her confidence and enjoy life again.
