The owner states, “ I am a new mom who’s been uprooted from an alcoholic relationship. I have to stay with family for awhile and restart life. My dog is about 11 years old. He’s a border collie mix. He can be hyper but he also loves to lay around. He’s never bitten anyone or any dog. He will surrender if another dog comes at him. He loves squeaky toys. He doesn’t play with other dogs but doesn’t mind having them around. He’s vocal, he growls when he’s playing and happy. But he is absolutely not mean. He does a happy dance when it’s dinner time. He knows a lot of tricks. He’s very smart and listens well. Our home is mostly quiet. Other dogs on the other side of the fence and he doesn’t care. She loves people and other dogs, and has no sense of personal space. While good with dogs, she does like to chase other animals. She is house trained and used to sleeping inside the home, though lacks other training. She has never shown any signs of aggression to children or adults, nor any food or toy possessiveness. Shes a really smart and good dog. We are looking to rehome due to financial and familial reasons and she deserves a family who has the time and energy to stimulate her brain and tire her out.
