Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Goose, a one-year-old smooth-coated Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Goose is friendly, playful, and full of busy, happy energy that keeps life interesting. Weighing 36 pounds, he is a wonderful size for an active companion who is always ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. He is the kind of dog who truly wants to be involved and thrives on interaction with his people. One of Goose’s most endearing quirks is his love of collecting toys. He happily gathers every toy he can find from around the room and the toy box, proudly hoarding them in his own special corner as if he’s curating a personal treasure pile. It’s just one of the many ways his bright and entertaining personality shines through. Goose is housetrained, does well in his crate, and walks nicely on a leash. He rides well in the car and enjoys getting out to explore the world. True to his breed, he has a strong herding instinct and loves activities that let him move, think, and engage his brain. Walks, playtime with other dogs, belly rubs, and chew time are all high on his list of favorite things. He is smart, treat-motivated, eager to please, and genuinely affectionate, making him a wonderful partner for training and bonding.  He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with strangers. He can live with a cat as long as interactions are monitored to ensure play stays polite. Goose would be happiest in a home that understands and appreciates herding breeds and is committed to providing him with daily exercise, structure, and ongoing training. With the right outlet for his energy and intelligence, Goose will be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun companion who is ready to give his whole heart to his future family.  Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. February 8, 2026, 11:41 am

Story
Alphonse and his brother, Edward were found abandoned by their owner, and taken by local police to a rural North Carolina animal shelter. They recently joined our Connecticut Rescue.  Alphonse has an outgoing personality and shows the energy and intelligence that characterize Border Collies. Despite the chaotic shelter process, he shows no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  DNA testing confirmed our guess that Smooth Coat Border Collie is Alphonse’s dominant breed, although 8 other breeds were detected in small measures. There is no mistaking that dramatic Collie profile.  Alphonse has an electric chemistry, and he is athletic and high energy. He would be a great choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to continue training and socialization.  Alphonse could easily join a multi-dog or cat home with older, playful animals tolerant of puppy energy. He would thrive with an active family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  Alphonse is available solo, or with his brother, Edward, to an adopter seeking a compatible pair. Both puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If interested please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Pare' was born on April 10, 2022. He is a fluffly attention hog, he'll look for a cuddle then he's off like a dart bouncing off walls. He is very active, loves his belly rubs and all the attention he can get. Pare' will do best in a home with another dog to help him acclimate. If you are interested in Pare', please include your phone number and we will call with more information on Pare' and our adoption process. November 2, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
This beauty also has some dalmation in him and I guess that accounts for some of the black spots on him. His DNA was done and the results were not real surprising. He was very scared when he came in to our local Animal Control..kill shelter. Our group saved him, took care of his medical, he competed heartworm treatment. THen he was ready to give him some exposure to new things...he was very timid of new experiences. He is doing better and ready for a home.He is still dog reactive so we are working on that. He needs someone who is patient, will take him for walks , play with toys with him ( he plays on his own, however). He is very affectionate.
