Story
Tesla was given a very unfair start to life. She began as a stray in the South and was taken in by a well-meaning individual who was trying to help but became overwhelmed by the number of strays she brought home. Because of this, Tesla found herself uprooted again and surrendered to a crowded, stressful shelter before making the long trip north—all big, overwhelming transitions for a young, sensitive puppy. Once she arrived Tesla was quickly adopted, but she was heartbreakingly returned a month later fearful and insecure. It was clear she hadn’t been given the love, consistency, and attention all dogs—especially puppies—need to feel safe and thrive. Despite everything she has been through, Tesla remains a sweet, resilient girl who is ready to heal with a family willing to show her patience, stability, and the security she’s been missing. She has stayed gentle, loving, and full of potential through it all. She is learning what love and security means. With time, reassurance, and a steady home, Tesla will truly flourish and blossom into the confident, happy companion she was always meant to be. Border Collie Pit Bull Terrier

Canterbury, CT
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Edward and his brother, Alphonse, were found abandoned by their owner and taken by local police to a rural North Carolina animal shelter. They recently joined our Connecticut Rescue.  Edward is a gentle soul who seems shy at first meeting. Once he warms up, he has an outgoing personality and intelligence that characterize Border Collies.  Edward is a graceful fella, with a sleek, leggy physique and elongated muzzle. He would be an agility natural. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect. Edward would be a great choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to continue training and socialization. He could easily join a multi-dog or cat home with older, playful animals, tolerant of puppy energy. He would thrive with an active family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  Edward weighs 37 pounds and is projected to grow to 40 to 50 pounds. He is 9 months old. He and his brother are a mix of Border Collie and Pit Bull. All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If interested please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Alphonse and his brother, Edward were found abandoned by their owner, and taken by local police to a rural North Carolina animal shelter. They recently joined our Connecticut Rescue.  Alphonse has an outgoing personality and shows the energy and intelligence that characterize Border Collies. Despite the chaotic shelter process, he shows no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  DNA testing confirmed our guess that Smooth Coat Border Collie is Alphonse’s dominant breed, although 8 other breeds were detected in small measures. There is no mistaking that dramatic Collie profile.  Alphonse has an electric chemistry, and he is athletic and high energy. He would be a great choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to continue training and socialization.  Alphonse could easily join a multi-dog or cat home with older, playful animals tolerant of puppy energy. He would thrive with an active family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  Alphonse is available solo, or with his brother, Edward, to an adopter seeking a compatible pair. Both puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If interested please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
This beauty also has some dalmation in him and I guess that accounts for some of the black spots on him. His DNA was done and the results were not real surprising. He was very scared when he came in to our local Animal Control..kill shelter. Our group saved him, took care of his medical, he competed heartworm treatment. THen he was ready to give him some exposure to new things...he was very timid of new experiences. He is doing better and ready for a home.He is still dog reactive so we are working on that. He needs someone who is patient, will take him for walks , play with toys with him ( he plays on his own, however). He is very affectionate.
