Story
Spot is a Border Collie mix born in 10/08/2020. He is about 30 lbs. He is neutered and microchipped. He was adopted from a shelter at 8 weeks old. He is now sweet, enjoys being around his people, and is affectionate. He LOVES to watch TV and does so for a while. He is house respectful (does not destroy the home). He loves playing ball, catch, and fetch. He likes being scratched on his head and body. He sheds, but not excessively. He is potty trained and tends to pee/poop in the same spot he was taught. Socially, Spot gets hyper around lots of new people, especially kids, and may bark initially until he smells them. He has done well around smaller dogs. He does not do well with cats. He does not like being held tightly or having his tail pulled. He does best with gentle handling and respectful kids/adults. Ideal home: Someone with time for exercise/play and a calmer intro to new people, a home without cats, preferably an adopter familiar with herding breeds. We LOVE HIM but are TOO BUSY

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Lenny   Lenny is a wonderful boy with an excellent temperament and a calm, laid-back personality. Most of the time he’s relaxed and easygoing — until it’s time for a walk! Then you’ll be treated to some happy barking and his adorable little dance that shows just how excited he is to get moving   Lenny does have some separation anxiety, so he would thrive best in a home where someone is home most of the time or able to take him along with them. With the right setup, he is an incredibly loyal and loving companion.   He’s done great with every dog he’s met so far and has shown polite, well-mannered behavior around small children. However, due to his size we are only considering children over 8. He’s more drawn to women, but is respectful with men as well — a quick hello and he’s ready to move on. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, he’s been easily managed around them.   Lenny already knows sit, lay down, and give paw, and he walks beautifully on a leash with no pulling. He’s very respectful in the home and hasn’t attempted to get on furniture, even when other dogs do. His appetite is normal, and he’s currently doing well on a weight-management diet with some added steamed chicken.   Lenny is a truly special boy who will make an amazing companion for the right home — especially one looking for a calm, devoted shadow who just wants to be near his person.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 12, 2026, 11:03 am
