Story
Meet Yuma! This beautiful 8-year-old girl weighs about 44 pounds and is a wonderful senior companion looking for her forever home. Yuma has spent time in a foster home where her personality really shined—she’s quirky, very chill, and enjoys living life at her own relaxed pace. She’s not a high-energy dog and much prefers calm, easy-going environments where she can simply exist comfortably and happily. Yuma is the type of dog who values her space and appreciates people who understand and respect her boundaries. She can be a little moody at times, but she’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate once she feels secure. She’ll happily soak up love and attention from her person, but she doesn’t need constant fussing over—just someone who truly gets her. Because of her personality, Yuma will need a home with no other animals—no dogs, no cats, no small pets—and absolutely no kids. She thrives in a quiet, adult-only household where her routine is predictable and stress-free. In the right home, Yuma will be the most loyal and easy companion, bringing warmth and joy every single day. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, affectionate, and wonderfully unique senior dog to share your life with, Yuma may be the perfect match.

Story
Hi there!! I’m Buddy and I’m a 1.5-year-old, 35lb Border Collie-Hound mix boy with energy for DAYS! I’m sure you are thinking he’s not a cocker spaniel or small breed. Nope, I’m not, but the nice ladies at FCCR offered to help me find a new home so here I am! I’m currently in Georgia; my owner rescued me from a local shelter but realized I need a more active home than they can provide. So here I am, looking for a family that can keep up with my zoomies! I’m very friendly towards everyone and GREAT with kids – even very young ones! I’m current on all my vaccines and house trained, which makes me pretty awesome already, right? I’m somewhat good on a leash but I do pull at times (I just get so excited about everything!), so I’d benefit from some training. I’ve haven’t met any cats so not sure if we could be friends…I might want to chase them. Here’s what you really need to know about me: I love to RUN, RUN, and RUN some more! I absolutely need a fenced-in yard where I can burn off all this puppy energy. Did I mention I’m still VERY puppy-like? Because I am! I love to CHEW, so puppy-proof your home and hide your favorite shoes! I would LOVE to take basic doggie training with my humans and here’s the good news – I’m very smart and eager to learn and please! With the right active family who has time to train me and tire me out, I’ll make an excellent family dog. Are you up for the adventure? FCCR will take applications and questions for me through their website: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $250

Story
Rocky is an amazing dog who has lived his entire life being loose on a farm in Kentucky. We sold our farm and are not able to provide him the attention and space he deserves and are looking for someone who can care for him. He is a great companion and loves to play fetch - he may have a few years on him, but he's still quite spry and definitely up for fun and games. He behaves very well around other dogs and is very mannered on a leash. He would make a great companion for anyone

Story
Adoption fee is FULLY WAIVED thanks to an anonymous donor!! Free, non-binding application must be submitted to secure an appointment at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt”!Hi I'm Tahoe! I'm a very good boy who landed at an over-capacity county shelter thru no fault of my own. Thankfully, Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue pulled me from that shelter and gave me the medical and general care I needed to be ready for my forever home. I appear to be a pointer and/or cattle dog mix estimated at around 2 years old, and recently weighed in at just over 50 lbs. I am friendly with dogs and people at the rescue. My one lingering issue is that I tested heartworm-positive and am currently undergoing treatment using the "slow kill" method, which will have to be continued by my adopters by administering oral meds. My rescue will cover the expenses for those medications and retesting until I test negative, which will happen in due time.My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to a generous sponsor! I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped, and ready to find my new home! If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Ft. Myers, FL Meet Eva! She is an 6 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 40 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Eva is fearful of strangers! She is good with older children! She hasn’t been tested around younger children or cats. She doesn’t live with another dog, but is good with dogs outside of the home! The owner is surrendering her because she is jealous of their baby and showing aggression towards their baby. She needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Eva, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Eva. Owner’s Contact Information: Holly at hollybwho@gmail.com.
