This handsome boy is 3-year-old Moby and he's waiting for you at Satchel's! Moby can be a little shy of strangers but warms up quickly. He enjoys his walks with volunteers, followed by a nice cool down in the kiddie pool while he waits at the gate for his turn to return to his kennel. Moby is full of energy and is currently working with a trainer to learn basic understanding of what is acceptable behavior. Note from a volunteer: "Moby is a darling and very smart. He’s a “back scratch” grass loving boy who prefers water over land any day. He should’ve been a fish 🐠." Penny is a dog that needs someone who can set boundaries in a positive firm consistent manner. Typical of herders, she will try to control if she senses you are not in charge. She knows commands, she is motion activated as are most herders. We are working with that and she can be reactive with other dogs, thus the need for a dog savvy handler. She would do best in a home with one other dog or no other dogs for those less experienced. Fenced yard is a must, as is a knowledgeable border collie person . We currently have NINE adorable puppies attending a two month stay at the training facility. During their stay, they’ll attend a two-week puppy training camp! These puppies are from 3 different litters and are all roughly 3-4 months old! During their extended stay, they’ll work on: Potty & kennel training Leash manners Socialization With guidance from Junior Trainers, they’ll also begin: Basic obedience Play skills (ball & tug) And then move to tricks & agility training!
