Story
Hayden-11/28-2558-Hayden is such a lovely boy, he has the most beautiful temperament. He is about 40 pounds, built like a thick cattle dog. He was non-reactive to other dogs when we took our walk. I really enjoyed the time I spent with him, he is very friendly, but not overly pushy…..he does not jump up, he is not in your face but he is happy to have your attention and be by your side. Story
Bea was a stray when she came to us 3 years ago. She was very insecure. had a little bif of food aggression, but got along great with our Collie that was a year old. They had the same energy and played well together. Bea was still pretty insecure. we had a fenced in yard for our dogs to play in, but neighborhood kids could not come around. Bea didn't care for them. Once when she got out of the house, she was running and the neighborhood kids were screaming and running and Bea was just overwhelmed and bit one of the kids. A year ago in August we added another rottweiller/shephard puppy mix. Bea, Zeke and Ada(new girl) all got along. Bea has always been wary of people coming in the house, but especially kids and other dogs. Since Ada was a puppy, Bea was okay with her. Now in the past month toy possession and food aggression have really intensified with Bea and Ada We have had 2 instances where Ada growled and Bea reacted with a full on throat atttack to Ada.

Story
Absolutely gorgeous loving and playful and wonderfully mannered/very well trained four years-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. One blue eye, one brown eye (brown eye limited vision). Looking for a fun/active and loving home. She loves riding in a car, dog parks, walking trails, playing soccer and probably would love running if you are a runner. She loves to be on the go! A bit skittish around new faces, loud noises, lauging/crying children. Takes a bit to warm up to strangers-but she will! No need for dog cages/crates. She can be left to roam free in the home. Nondestructive. No history of potty accidents provided she is given proper and timely release beforehand. She can even stay by herself overnight as necessary. All shot records up to date. She is not spayed and has cycles every 6 months for about two weeks. Rehoming fee is $100 (not $200)!

Story
Sage is a wonderful dog with a shiny, silky black coat and big beautiful brown eyes. She is house trained, does well in a crate or out of the crate, she knows sit ,walks easy on the leash and her favorite thing is food and yard patrol. Oh, and belly rubs are her favorite thing too! Sage loves all humans, big and small. We believe with proper introductions she would do well with another dog but cats, probably not. Sage could be a great companion for an older couple who likes a gentle larger dog or a family looking for a more mature easy going dog. Take her for a ride in the truck and she'll love you forever! If you're interested in adopting Sage, the next step is to fill out the adoption application at buttsmutts.com.  ##1579851##

Story
Meet Carson Dukes. His eyes (one blue, one brown) are unique and strikingly gorgeous, one myth even says that dogs with two different color eyes can view heaven and earth at the same time. Carson is an adult Border Collie mix who has been with us since he was just a pup. Like some of our others he can be a bit shy and timid around new people so he would benefit from an adopter who is willing to spend some time with him at our kennel. Once he figures out who will be his friend he is very loving. Oh, and he is a bit of an escape artist, six feet or chain link does not hold a challenge for him. He never leaves us; he just doesn’t like to be fenced. Carson would be a great indoor companion with supervised outdoor exercise.  Carson recently spent some time in a foster home. He adjusted well to being a house dog, is crate trained, and almost housebroken. He got along with the other dogs, really enjoyed stretching his long legs running and playing in the yard, and was happily contained with the 8ft privacy fence. His foster family describes him as, "lovable, sweet, playful, and quirky in the most endearing way."  Carson's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Story
Hi everybody, this is Hazel—because she has the prettiest, most expressive Hazel eyes.  She is a 1 1/2 year girl who is both highly alert and intelligent. She gets along well with other dogs but is wary of new people choosing to study them closely before. Her foster mom says that letting people prove that they are trustworthy is a good policy. Hazel is a high-energy dog who is also quite affectionate when given the time and opportunity to bond with deserving people. Toys and playtime are more important to her than treats, so she needs someone who has time to throw a ball for her. She is SO much fun! Hazel is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on prevention.  ##1402505##

Story
All Southern Crescent Canine Rescue pets are spayed or neutered, all vaccinations are up to date, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We suggest follow-up intestinal worming two weeks after adoption.  We require monthly heartworm preventive after adoption!Buddy is extremely sweet and affectionate. He wants nothing more than to sit with you and be near you (on you is best). He does love to play and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and exhibits submissive traits, so he would do well in a home with a female dog. I also suspect he would thrive in a home with children. He is so gentle and I think he'd enjoy their energy level. He loves water!! He's housebroken and alerts when he's ready to go out. He is very well-mannered on a leash, and has been trained previously to an invisible fence. Would also do well with a physical fence. A little over a year old, estimated 50 pounds.                                  'We Are Rescue' Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt the love, Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain, Until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom, And until you have seen and understood the look in your dogs eyes that tell you their time on earth with you is over .... and you humanely let them go, You will never understand the life of a rescuer. We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within.
