Oh my ears!!! Meet the cutest little girl this side of the Mississippi! Meet Poptart! With ears that fold like those old-school fortune teller paper games from elementary school, sometimes resembling delicate little praying mantis hands, Poptart is impossible not to fall in love with at first glance. She’s the kind of pup who warms up gently, but once she feels safe, her soft heart shines through in the sweetest ways. Treats and booty scratches are the keys to her affection, and she’ll quietly inch her way over for both, never demanding, always patient with those puppy eyes in full effect. Even though she is young, she has the best docile demeanor. She isn’t pushy for affection or attention and just waits patiently to be adorned on.She’s a perfect little princess and will make her new family so incredibly happy! We believe that Poptart is a Border Collie mix of some sort around 1 year old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is a petite little thing that has the softest coat and most gentle kisses. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. But that’s what makes rescue so fun! She followed her everywhere, always wanting to be nearby, proving that she’d make a wonderful family dog! Especially in a home with gentle, dog-savvy kids. With other dogs, she prefers to observe rather than dive into the action right away. In the yard, she was a little shy with our resident pups. The pushy ones made her a bit uncomfortable when they would run up hot and heavy to her face, so she would gently move out the way so they could play. She was more of an observer than a participator. But at her foster home, she thrives in doggy daycare where she is comfortable with all the puppy friends. So she will just need some time to warm up to her environment. A home with a medium-energy dog who respects her pace would be the perfect match to help her continue growing into her confidence. Cats are very intriguing to Poptart and it would be best if she was in a kitten free environment! She’s incredibly smart and very treat motivated, already showing off her skills like a pro and sure to pick up more with ease. In the video you can see her already mastering her sit! For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Meet Indy – The Spirited Little Kelpie with a Big Heart At just 3 years old and around 40 pounds, Indy may be small in size, but she’s bursting with personality, intelligence, and love. This Kelpie–Cattle Dog mix is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate — a lively companion who adores her people and thrives on interaction. Indy is currently in private training to help fine-tune her manners and work on her prey drive, and she’s making wonderful progress. She’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and food-motivated, which makes training sessions a joy. This sweet girl loves: Running the fence line and chatting with the neighbor dogs through the knotholes (she’s a social butterfly!). Helping in the garden, where she proudly “hunts” grasshoppers and voles — it’s her version of pest control! Watching out the window while you’re away, then greeting you like it’s been years, even if you just took the trash out. Playing with kids — she adores them and has a fun, gentle energy that matches well with families. Indy is well-behaved in the home, even when left alone, and though she isn’t crate-trained, she doesn’t need to be. She’s doing great with her basic commands and is learning better leash manners — a gentle over-the-nose leash helps her walk beautifully. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can be selective, so slow, proper introductions are key. Due to her background and instincts, she should avoid German Shepherds, as that’s one breed she doesn’t get along with well. Meet Ryder – The Smart, Snuggly Scholar with a Heart of Gold Ryder is a one-of-a-kind mix — part Australian Kelpie, American Bully, and a splash of Cattle Dog — and somehow, all heart. At about 1.5 years old, he’s a handsome, athletic boy with the intelligence of a herding breed and the loyalty of a Bully. Though he’s larger than most of his lineage, he’s as gentle as they come and loves nothing more than being close to his people. When Ryder first came into rescue, he was a bit unsure of himself. He had always looked to his older housemates for cues on how to act, drawing comfort from their calm confidence. Being out on his own was intimidating. But through private training sessions at Saragold, Ryder has blossomed — and now, he looks to his handler for guidance with focus and trust. At his most recent adoption event, Ryder was the picture of composure — a true gentleman, walking beautifully on leash, greeting other dogs with excitement and good manners, and showing everyone just how far he’s come. Ryder’s Highlights: Excellent leash manners – heels perfectly and stays attentive to his person Fully housebroken and crate trained – uses the doggy door like a pro Treat-motivated and fast learner – mastered “touch” and “place” by watching others Calm, affectionate, and people-focused – a real cuddler who loves being close Great with other dogs and even cats, sharing toys and space with ease Playful but thoughtful – loves fetch, squeaky toys, and even watching Lassie and Pup Academy! Because of his Bully side, Ryder is mainly an indoor dog, as these breeds are sensitive to temperature extremes.
