Shaka is very clean and neat, enjoys being petted. She takes treats nicely, and she has a good appetite. Shaka does jump up, but it's done in an affectionate way. Shaka is extremely smart. She does well in meeting new people. She prefers the company of my male dogs over my female dogs. She hasn't been reactive to my cats. Shaka still needs some work. With the right pet parent, she will be a lovely, devoted companion.   Shaka will need a home with a 6’ privacy fence.***  The potential adoptor will get a refund if it’s determined by the Foster that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application. If you have questions about Shaka, please email cbbcrvolunteers@gmail.com  For additional information on Border Collies and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.comebyebcrescue.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 17, 2023, 2:30 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jimmy is just the happiest guy and always smiling!!!! Jimmy knows no stranger, and makes friends wherever he goes. He LOVES to play with toys and will run around the yard all day if you let him. He has attended dog daycare and does well there. Jimmy recently completed a basic obedience class and he was an absolute joy to work with.  Jimmy sleeps quietly in a crate at night, but would also happily cuddle in bed if you’d let him! He also is a great work from home buddy. He sits at his foster moms feet while she works, and he will chew his bone contently or nap.   Jimmy is a fantastic boy and only one year old, with many great qualities.  Although he’s almost perfect, he does tend to want to guard some things that potentially could be edible, therefore he’s a little selective about the dogs he lives with. Jimmy would benefit being the only dog, or possibly living with a female doggy.  Jimmy is being fostered in  Argos, Indiana.   If you have questions about Jimmy, please email kayladarriaga@gmail.com .   For additional information on Border Collies and our adoption process, please visit our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.com .   ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them.***                           Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 17, 2023, 2:30 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact anitaremijas@gmail.com for more information about this pet.Gorgeous Emma!  Emma has intense baby blue eyes that say love me! Her spotted muzzle, upright dark ears and tan-and-white body are made for scratches and hugs. Emma is likely about three years old and weighs about 32 pounds (she could add some weight). Who is Emma? She is amazing with my two border collies (male and female). Emma is very clearly a herder (see video) who likes to sit and wait for the fun, then joins in immediately. Lots of our time is spent running on the golf course, in my backyard and on the beach, along with swimming in the nearby pond. Emma loves playtime in the house but is also happy to rest in her dog bed, chew a bone, or just close her eyes. She has met other dogs, large and small, and is friendly (no exposure to cats while in my care). Emma has grabbed the ball a few times but decided early on that her best play with my dogs was chasing them, then circling around and watching them, waiting for the fun to begin again.   What can Emma do? She has 100% recall and never fails to come to me when called. We frequently have deer and squirrels in our neighborhood; Emma never chases them and, if interested, comes immediately when I call her name. Her house training is impeccable (once Iearned her preference is to be off leash and to go in a certain spot of my yard). She is good on leash (all three dogs walk well together), although we were told she was almost never leashed. Emma loves when I put her collar on in the morning and her glow collar on in the evening (she puts her little face forward). Grooming is a breeze as she easily lets me brush her. Her demeanor is calm when in the house and active when outside the house. Emma loves her bone and has not been destructive with chewing; I picked up shoes when she first came as a foster but no longer bother. Emma listens to sit, down, wait and is treat motivated. There is absolutely no food guarding. She has met children in the neighborhood and seems good. Emma enjoys learning and using the limited agility equipment I own.   Concerns about Emma are all about gaining her trust. She barks at visitors but warms up as she gets to know them. Emma slept in my basement under the stairs for about a week although she would join us during the day. The second week she came upstairs to mybedroom and went in the closet for a few nights. We then gave Emma a few pillows on the bed, she felt safe, enclosed, and now spends the night with me and my two border collies. Emma likes to jump at your face if you lean in too close (not nipping, just licking with her tongue). It is a habit we have been working on (I hold her collar when I pet her) and she is getting so much better. She likes to push her way in to me in the morning in bed or just sitting on the sofa but listens to reprimands from my other two dogs (or I just gently tell her to get back or off).   Emma needs her own person she can trust and who will love her. She is smart and could easily learn to play with balls or frisbees and/or benefit from agility training but her herding instinct is so strong she might be better with a playmate who does the catching for her. She quickly learns day-to-day routines. Our rides in the car have been smooth, stress free for all. It isimportant that Emma is given time to show you what she has to offer. She is an amazing girl who deserves patience, love and the best life going forward! Emma doesn't require a fence unless you live near a very busy road.  She enjoys playtime with other dogs so having another dog in the home is a big plus.  She has been around children older than 4 years old and seems to do well. Emma is not a dog for first time dog owners and herding dog experience is best to understand her behavior.  Emma is being fostered in Long Beach, IN Please contact anitaremijas@gmail.com  if you have any questions about Emma.  You can complete an application to adopt Emma or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org      ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 17, 2023, 2:30 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Anderson is a 1 year old neutered Male Border Collie mix! Currently 34 lbs should be closer to 40 lbs.   Friendly with dogs, people and cats. He tends to gravitate more towards females dogs but does well with males as well.   He is the sweetest boy who loves to snuggle and just hang out! Anderson is only adoptable to a pet home due to the limited angulation in both rear legs. But this sure doesn’t stop him from running, jumping, and swimming!   Anderson is searching for an active family who likes to go on walks, hike, and play in the yard! He does have a fence requirement as he has proven himself to be a fence jumper. He will need to be supervised in the yard. He has successfully jumped a 4 ft chain link fence multiple times and has tested it when on a long line.   Anderson was found as a stray in Southern Indiana and is now being fostered in Columbus OH. Please contact ashquesenberry@yahoo.com  if you have any questions about Anderson.  You can complete an application to adopt Anderson or any of the dogs on our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.
