Meet Ripley!Ripley is a handsome collie-mix that came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by his humans. Ripley is textbook herding breed with the personality to match. He may be smaller but he has a firecracker demeanor and can go for hours. Because of this, he would really benefit from a home where he gets lots of exercise to stimulate his body and brain. He seems interested in befriending other dogs, but some of the more intense ones he can be reactive to. We all think Ripley would do a much better job at making new canine friends away from a shelter environment, where it's a little less chaotic and overwhelming. We do not know if he's ever been around cats or other small animals. Ripley is a fantastic dog with a great future ahead of him. As far as temperament, Jade is a gem! She is a sweet, playful girl. At her first trip to the groomer, she was given a "10/10" and told to "come back anytime." She gets attention everywhere she goes. She is very smart, excellent at catch, and knows all her basic commands. In full honesty, the reason we are pursuing a new home for Jade is because we think she would be happier as a working dog on a farm. No matter how many walks, hikes, or games of fetch she has per day, she is unsatisfied. She obsessively tries to "herd" our cat. She needs a job. She needs a herd. She is a Border Collie/Lab mix, but she is much, much more like a BC than a lab. The perfect home for Jade would be a farm where she can live and work with people and other animals. Deep down, I know she would have a better life in those conditions than she could have in the suburbs. If you want a sweet, highly trainable, intelligent, hardworking dog, Jade is your girl.

He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. 😎He knows sit (hand signal lift one finger up), down (hand signal one finger pointing down), stay (palm facing out, like a stop motion), heel, come, and leave it. 😎He will sit and wait to enter doors or a vehicle if you place him in a sit and ask him to wait. Break is his release word.😎He is fully potty trained. He will respond to the question of do you need to go potty (will run to the door if he wants to go out) and keeps his crate clean overnight. 😎He’s getting really good at fetch. He does well with toe nail trims, teeth brushing, and other grooming.He walks great on a leash.😎Jerry will chase animals that run away from him, but is not aggressive with them.
