Story
We adopted Hubble from Dogtown Resort in Middlebury, IN in 2020. Hubble is a rambunctious, loving cattle dog mix and brings lots of joy to our family. He unfortunately has started to show aggression towards one of our family members on multiple occasions, and it is no longer safe to keep him in our home given we have a child. We believe Hubble would thrive in a home where there is lots of outdoor space to roam, particularly if he can have a “job” as an outlet for his energy. He needs lots of daily exercise, so owners with experience with herding breeds are preferred.

Story
I’ve had Penelope (Nelly) since she was 6 months old. She has been an apartment dog her whole life and she is almost 9 years old in October. I have struggled with her aggression towards people and other dogs in the many apartment buildings we’ve lived in. I love her so much but I work 2 jobs most of the year and I do not have time or energy to take her on the longest walks that she needs to get her breeds notorious high energy out. I do the best I can, we often go on mile long walks, but she is just simply not suited for apartment living. I would love if someone on a farm or with a lot of land wanted to love her for the rest of her life. She is friendly with my mom’s dogs and never had an issue with her cats either, but she is aggressive/mouthy toward stranger dogs. She is goofy as can be & so so so sweet when she’s alone with me, but I fear I’m not able to give her the life she deserves as a heeler. After one too many altercations with my neighbors, I very regrettably seek options.

Story
Mama's story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. This sweet Mini Australian Shepherd was found wandering alone through a neighborhood, frightened and searching for something—or someone. It was clear she had recently been nursing puppies, but despite every effort, her litter was never found. We can only imagine what she endured and how long she searched for the babies she never got to bring home. Through it all, Mama has remained incredibly loving and gentle. She has a very soft nature and looks to people for comfort and reassurance. Her eyes seem to tell a story of loss, but they also shine with hope every time someone offers her kindness. Mama loves being near her people and soaks up every bit of affection she receives. After surviving on her own, Mama is still learning that she is safe. Because of her past, she can be a flight risk and will need a securely fenced yard and a family committed to helping her continue to build trust and confidence. What she needs most is patience, understanding, and a place to finally call home. Mama has spent enough time searching. Now she's looking for someone who will choose her, cherish her, and show her that she never has to be alone again. In return, she'll offer a lifetime of quiet devotion, unconditional love, and gratitude that only a rescued dog can give. Mama is microchipped, current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Visit our website at www.wagsandwigglesfw.com to apply!
