Story
This is Pal he is a border collier terrier mix. He is 10 years old but still acts like he is a young pup. He is very loving and loyal and loves to cuddle and go for walks. We got him when he was 3 years old from an older couple. We have 3 young kids and he has increasingly gotten more anxious and unfriendly around our children. He does not like them anywhere near him and it’s not fair to him. He has never bitten them. He would do so well with someone who lives alone or a couple who has no children. He does get along with other dogs. We hate having to rehome him but our children’s safety and his happiness comes first.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To put it simply, Zip is joy wearing canine clothing. He is the happiest, bounciest dog and doesn’t let anything stop him! He is probably around 6 months old and is could be a Bernese Mountain Dog mixed with something, possibly Border Collie. He will likely be a large adult and could be money well spent on a doggie DNA test!    Zip has only a very vague concept of personal space, and while he isn’t concerned with his lack of knowledge, anyone with a lap should be prepared for it to be occupied. He is highly food motivated, so training should be a breeze!   Zip enjoys following you around the house, belly rubs, and stealing your bath mat. He especially likes balls and will happily play fetch with himself. He is mostly house trained with a dog door, is good in the crate, and while he does have some separation anxiety, it may go away once he feels comfortable and secure in his new home.   If you’re looking for a big, social, goofy, doofus of a dog to hang out with, come meet Zip, he loves to make new friends!   Zip's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and preventatives.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of keeping previous pets; altered, kept current on vaccines/annual vet care and as indoor pets.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application at AdoptHope.org if you would like to meet Zip!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 18, 2026, 9:25 pm

Story
Mara is a happy, energetic girl who is always ready for her next adventure. With her striking heterochromia and bright, curious personality, she turns heads everywhere she goes. She approaches life with excitement and loves having the freedom to run, explore, and see what the day has in store. This playful girl thrives on activity and would love a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves to chase toys and has a blast running after them, although she's still deciding whether bringing them back is part of the game! While she's always up for playtime, she's equally happy to pause for a few pets before heading back out to continue her adventures. Mara keeps her kennel clean and would do best in an active home that can provide plenty of daily exercise, enrichment, and a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs. She has not yet been formally dog tested, so any introductions to other dogs should be done thoughtfully. Based on her personality, she may be selective about her canine companions, so slow, positive introductions will help set her up for success. With her beautiful mismatched eyes, playful spirit, and adventurous personality, Mara is ready to find a family that can match her enthusiasm for life. If you're looking for an active companion who will happily join you on hikes, walks, and outdoor adventures before settling in for a few well-earned pets, Mara could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Meet Russell! Russell is one of a litter of eight puppies looking for his perfect forever family! His mama, Molly, is a 40-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix, and DNA testing on his littermate, Jessie, confirmed that their dad was a Golden Retriever. With that combination, Russell is sure to grow into a smart, loyal, and loving companion. Born on May 15, Russell currently weighs 10 pounds and is expected to reach 50- 70 pounds as an adult. Russell is a curious, playful puppy who loves to explore everything around him. Right now, his favorite "toys" happen to be his siblings' tails! He's always ready to chase, pounce, and turn everyday moments into a game, bringing plenty of laughs with his silly puppy antics. Russell's playful spirit and inquisitive nature make him a joy to watch as he discovers the world one adventure at a time. Russell is doing wonderfully with housetraining. Like all young puppies, he'll need a family committed to continuing his training and taking him outside at least every four hours during the day until he's older and able to hold it longer. Because Russell is expected to be a large dog, he will require a physically fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and burn off puppy energy. Russell will be 10 weeks old on July 24 and will be ready to head home with his forever family at that time. Before adoption, he will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and receive his first two distemper/parvo vaccinations. His adopters will be responsible for his third distemper/parvo booster at 14 weeks of age and his rabies vaccination at 16 weeks. If you're looking for a happy, playful puppy with a curious mind and a knack for making you smile, Russell is ready to become your new best friend! If you'd like to meet Russell, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Russell, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $400

Her mama, Molly, is a 40-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix, and thanks to DNA testing on Celia's littermate, Jessie, we know their dad was a Golden Retriever. With that combination, Celia is sure to grow into a smart, loyal, and loving companion. Born on May 15, Celia currently weighs 9 pounds and is expected to reach 50-70 pounds as an adult. Celia is the thoughtful observer of the litter. When faced with something new, she likes to hang back and watch her siblings check it out first. Once she's decided it's safe, she's happy to join in the fun. Her gentle, cautious nature means she takes a little extra time to build confidence, but with patience, encouragement, and love, she's blossoming more every day. Celia will thrive with a family that understands that sometimes the sweetest moments come from earning the trust of a gentle soul. Celia is doing wonderfully with housetraining. Like all young puppies, she'll need a family committed to continuing her training and taking her outside at least every four hours during the day until she's older and able to hold it longer.
