Story
This is Pal he is a border collier terrier mix. He is 10 years old but still acts like he is a young pup. He is very loving and loyal and loves to cuddle and go for walks. We got him when he was 3 years old from an older couple. We have 3 young kids and he has increasingly gotten more anxious and unfriendly around our children. He does not like them anywhere near him and it’s not fair to him. He has never bitten them. He would do so well with someone who lives alone or a couple who has no children. He does get along with other dogs. We hate having to rehome him but our children’s safety and his happiness comes first.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To put it simply, Zip is joy wearing canine clothing. He is the happiest, bounciest dog and doesn’t let anything stop him! He is probably around 6 months old and is could be a Bernese Mountain Dog mixed with something, possibly Border Collie. He will likely be a large adult and could be money well spent on a doggie DNA test!    Zip has only a very vague concept of personal space, and while he isn’t concerned with his lack of knowledge, anyone with a lap should be prepared for it to be occupied. He is highly food motivated, so training should be a breeze!   Zip enjoys following you around the house, belly rubs, and stealing your bath mat. He especially likes balls and will happily play fetch with himself. He is mostly house trained with a dog door, is good in the crate, and while he does have some separation anxiety, it may go away once he feels comfortable and secure in his new home.   If you’re looking for a big, social, goofy, doofus of a dog to hang out with, come meet Zip, he loves to make new friends!   Zip's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and preventatives.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of keeping previous pets; altered, kept current on vaccines/annual vet care and as indoor pets.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application at AdoptHope.org if you would like to meet Zip!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 8, 2026, 7:13 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Freedom!  One of the adorable 8 week old Lab/Border Collie mix puppies. They came to us as an owner surrender and They will be available for adoption beginning July 29, 2026. They are just beginning to learn about the world, which means they are not yet house trained, don't know basic commands, and will need plenty of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as they grow. The ideal adoptive family will be committed to taking a puppy obedience class to get started on the right foot - they will need a family that can commit to continue proper socialization and also all the work that goes into house-training a puppy, which requires a lot of patience and persistence with working on a schedule. Puppies need to be taken outside frequently - as often as every 3 to 4 hours in the beginning. So an ideal home for these puppies will be one where they won't have long periods of time during the day spent alone during the first few months, so they can have the best chance of successful house-training and have years of wonderful love and devotion to focus on! These puppies will be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract, which means their adoptive families will sign a contract stating the puppies will be spayed/neutered by the time they are 9 months old. Families will be required to bring their puppy back to Safe Haven for us to spay/neuter when the puppy is between 6 to 9 months old, at no additional cost. The other option for each adoptive family would be to have the surgery done with their veterinarian at the family's own cost, and provide us proof of that surgery once complete.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 10, 2026, 12:49 am

Story
Jethro is a fun-loving, goofy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This happy pup is always ready for the next adventure, whether that means a game of fetch, carrying his favorite toy around proudly, or bouncing around with excitement to greet his people. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of life, making him the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. Jethro absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. He’s confident, friendly, and gentle, with a cuddly side that enjoys curling up close after playtime is over. He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with kids ages 7 and older, and would likely fit into many different types of active homes. He also keeps his kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash. This energetic boy enjoys stuffies, squeaky toys, tug games, and just about anything that keeps him engaged and having fun. Like many excited young dogs, Jethro can sometimes forget his manners or get a little mouthy when he’s overly excited, but it comes from enthusiasm and playfulness rather than anything negative. With continued structure, exercise, and positive guidance, he’ll continue growing into an amazing companion. With his long legs, unique coat, and constant big tail wags, Jethro is impossible not to adore. He would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous best friend who can make you laugh one minute and cuddle up beside you the next, Jethro may be the perfect fit.
