Story
Jace is a 6 1/2yr old Border Collie-Heeler mix who is a sweet, snuggly, happy, energetic, incredibly intelligent and sensitive guy. He does well with most dogs but has some toy and food guarding. He is fully house trained, uses a doggy door to go outside and has free run of the house. He has anxiety in a kennel and loud noises scare him, he hides. Loves car rides, will play ball, stick or frisbee all day. Excellent recall off leash. He loves activity but also a warm bed to sleep in. Jace is healthy and would be a great hiking, biking, agitity, sports partner. Best in a home with older children as young children's movement can be unpredictable. Jace likes people and is super friendly. Must be an inside dog that has access to outdoors. He does okay with most dogs but would prefer a single dog household.Jace recently went to a 3 week board and train program where he learned how to better calm his energetic emotions. Reason for rehoming is that he does not get along with our other dog.

To schedule a time to meet her, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Energetic, playful and curious once she feels comfortable - Is opening up more every day in her foster home and will likely need time to warm up in a new home; once she trusts someone she really bonds with them and is quite affectionate - Likes to be her foster family's shadow - Seems to know stay and come and may know more - New people and fast movements can make her nervous, so she's looking for a home with more mature family members - Has done well with like-minded dogs in her foster home and enjoys lounging and also doing zoomies with them The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Weight: 59 Age: 1yrs 0mths 4wks
