Story
Meet Izzy Jane. She is a border collie/ blue heeler mix and is two years old. She is very smart and knows commands such as sit, stay, shake, here, down, up etc. when I originally adopted her, I lived in the country but since have moved to a small village and she is not thrilled with other dogs in the neighborhood and small children. She has been showing signs of aggression towards the dogs. At this point, I feel that she needs a home with lots of room to run and no other dogs. Otherwise she is very loving and protective towards me. I only want what will be best for her,,,,,,

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We took kano in a year ago due to daughters manager no longer being able to take care of him. He was left outside, tied to garage by a leash 24/7. The night we took him in was cold and pouring out. I couldn't say no. We have tried our best with him but due to my oldest daughters cancer diagnosis, we no longer have the time to continue on his craziness. He is very hyper and still needs work on potty training. He does use puppy pads but he still needs lots of work. He needs a home that had a decent size yard to run around in and be a border collie. He is good with kids after he has a decompression period. He has never been around small children and doesn't do well with other dogs. Although if he is around one for quite some time, I could see him having a best friend in the future. I really don't want to do but unfortunately it is not fair to him, nor the life we wanted to give. He deserves much more than I can offer through this challenging time.

Story
Abner came to us after being given away on social media at just 4 weeks old. He is now 6.5 months old and ready to find a forever home. He is about 35 lbs and growing. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, preventions and chipped. He is a fun pup who loves to play with his foster friends and toys. He would be a great addition to any family. He is being housed in Tennessee right now but no worries because we use Rescue Riders Pet Transport who alternate going to the Northeast and the Great Lakes every weekend.
