We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! Story
***Cotton is in a foster home right now, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out the application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you!*** Cotton is such a nice pup and what a snuggler! He is estimated to be about 13 weeks old and weighs 14 pounds right now. Cotton is so very sweet, just a darling. He loves to cuddle and to just be with you. Cotton is a bit shy though, so he needs some confidence building, especially now while he is so young. It is important that his new family understand the commitment and amount of work puppies need before adopting. Cotton will also need someone who is home frequently because he can't be left alone for a long period of time due to being a puppy! Puppies require and deserve a lot of time and energy, but will repay their families with a lifetime of unconditional love and happiness. They are looking for families to make a best friend for life! Cotton will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old, due to his shy nature. If you are interested in Cotton and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying.
