Story
Meet Izzy Jane. She is a border collie/ blue heeler mix and is two years old. She is very smart and knows commands such as sit, stay, shake, here, down, up etc. when I originally adopted her, I lived in the country but since have moved to a small village and she is not thrilled with other dogs in the neighborhood and small children. She has been showing signs of aggression towards the dogs. At this point, I feel that she needs a home with lots of room to run and no other dogs. Otherwise she is very loving and protective towards me. I only want what will be best for her,,,,,,

Story
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Paul. He is a Border Collie/Scotch Collie mix born on April 27 so he is now 3 months old. He has a thick coat as it is starting to get a bit longer. Paul came to our Rescue when a backyard breeder decided he no longer wanted him or her siblings, Peter and Paul. At 8 weeks of age, he weighed 9.5kg and is over 25lbs now at 12 weeks. We believe he may reach 55lb when fully grown. Paul has all the traits of a border collie. He is already herding and stands and crawls in position when out playing with the other dogs. He is super smart and has good recall. He loves his food and is fed 3 times daily, Royal Canin Medium Breed Puppy Food. He is and will be a high-energy dog. Paul loves to play in all the big water bowls so we assume he will like to run in a body of water. He is really solid and growing quickly. Paul loves all toys and is affectionate. He does get warm quickly due to his coat so prefers to sleep on a doggie bed and not with his foster family members. He is a talker, typical of the breed, and will bark when he is playing or wants something. He is always on the go and busy playing with his littermates. The ideal home for him will be either one with a large fully fenced yard and enrollment in agility or a large farm where he can become a working dog. He excels in this capacity. He must be kept busy with a job to do so are looking very closely for the right family for our Paul. He is crated to eat but will quickly start barking when done to be let out. Paul has had his first set of vaccines including Bordetella, is micro-chipped, dewormed, and on Heartworm/flea/tick prevention monthly. His neuter at 6 months will be paid for by Barks and Meows Rescue at the West Lorne Animal Hospital. UPDATE: Paul had his last series of vaccines on Aug 15. UPDATE: Paul was neutered on Feb 17 and weighed 24.2 kg A large fully fenced property or a large farm with livestock to encourage and appreciate his herding instinct and ability. Thank you very much to Melissa Caron Photography for their support and efforts in this hectic photoshoot with three high-energy pups.
