Story
***Archie is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you*** Did somebody say toys, Archie is in! He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 52 pounds. Meet Archie, he is a bundle of silly joy, and a playful, curious pup who is looking for his forever family. This brave boy came to K9 with a rare skin condition that required months of medical treatment that caused some hair loss. With the care of a great veterinary team and a dedicated foster, he has recovered wonderfully, and his new hair is slowly growing back. Archie will soon be a very handsome guy (well, we of course thought he was handsome the whole time)! He is very connecting and loves to hang out with you. You can tell how smart he is by how he watches you, wanting to please. Archie is looking for an active family who can keep up with his playful nature and provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He will bring endless happiness and love to his new home with his goofy puppylike antics and cheerful disposition. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Archie would just love it if you wanted to meet him. His foster mom has so many wonderful things to say about him: Archie is a joy to have. He loves toys and tennis balls. He is all happy puppy and is working on a few more commands and being a little better on a leash. He is super smart and very correctable and loves to learn. He loves being outside, going for walks and exploring. He is crate trained & pretty much house trained. He has not been exposed to cats but gets along great with my basset hound. He enjoys being close to you and is a great boy! He has learned to love car rides also. If you are interested in Archie and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Someone only wants to be close to you! Flash is estimated to about a year old and weighs 31 pounds. Here are some nice facts about him: So lovable Velcro dog A little insecure Most comfortable curled up in your lap Likes to lean in and give kisses Chocolatey cutie A little nervous at first but warms up quickly Afraid of toys Can be bouncy if he is afraid of something, but can quickly understand the item or situation is safe Adopter will need to have the time and patience upfront to focus on positive socialization and trust Seems to have working breed intelligence and traits Great eye contact and looking for leadership and direction An active home and mental stimulation will be important to Flash Will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with his timid nature Just wants a family to love him If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Flash would love to meet them. He has an open, loose approach with other dogs, but he is more interested in people. If you are interested in Flash and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. Story
Hello, I'm Carl, I am about 10 months old and weigh 37 pounds right now. I guess I'm pretty cute with all those freckles on my nose, at least that is what all the nice volunteers here at the rescue say. I'm a friendly and outgoing pup who loves nothing more than being close to my favorite people. I'm always up for a good snuggle and will happily lean into you for some extra love. I love to give lots of kisses too, so look out! I'm still working on my manners, especially when it comes to jumping up to say hello, but I'm a quick learner and just need a little guidance. Did you see my perfect sit in my pictures? I was told I was such a good boy for my photo shoot, I really want to please you. I'm also good with other dogs, I have a friendly, open approach with other dogs with an "all in" play style. I'd make a great addition to an active family who wants a loyal and loving best friend. I am basically always ready for a cuddle or an adventure, the best of both worlds! I will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Please come and meet me, I can't wait to grow up with a family to love. If you are interested in Carl and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
