Story
Hi! My name is Lassie I am a 4 year old, spayed Cattle Dog. I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Gentle, a little timid and affectionate Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends at the shelter say I may be a little shy at first but with some pets I will warm up quickly. During my time at the shelter my friends have learned that I am a goofy girl who would love nothing more than to spend my time outside wandering and sunbathing with my people. I love the outdoors and I love being brushed too! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 5/10 Housetraining Status: I could use some work with my house training but with a good routine, patience and time for me to adjust, I will catch on quickly. I should do well in a home: My friends at the shelter say I should do well in a home with dogs with slow introductions and time to adjust and kids of all ages given proper adult supervision. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I would do in a home with cat friends! My favorite activities are: I like to go on adventures if it involves being outdoors and getting to sunbathe. I also love getting gentle pets and following my favorite people around Things I need work on are: I could use some work on housetraining and basic commands. I could also use some work on gaining confidence as sometimes I may get anxious! Any special needs: I came to the shelter with an injured leg and a limp. My friends at the shelter are following up with a vet to figure out what may be wrong and what they can do to fix it, because of this I may be a foster to adopt candidate. For more information on the foster to adopt process you can contact the shelter. Story
Hi! My name is Blue. I am a 1-year-old, neutered Heeler Rat Terrier mix. I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Loving, Sensitive, and Affectionate. Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: Blu absolutely adores the staff and volunteers who take the time to give him love and attention. While he can be a little standoffish at first, slow introductions—and a little bit of chicken—go a long way in winning him over. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 7/8 Housetraining Status: Blue is housetrained. I should do well in a home with kids of all ages, but it’s important to remember that I thrive with slow, proper introductions. My previous owners said I met their grandkids and did great! I should also do just fine in a home with an easygoing dog, as long as I’m given a proper introduction and time to adjust. As for cats, we’re not quite sure how I’d do with them yet. My favorite activities are: Playing with toys. Interested in tennis balls. Things I need work on are: Basic commands Doggy Day Out Notes: On my doggy day out, I got to go to the beach, play with tennis balls, go on a walk and go to lunch! I was described as sweet, cuddly, well-behaved, shy and PERFECT! Here is what my new friends had to say about me; "Blue is shy/timid in the car but if he sits on someone's lap he does better. Shy at first but he is the sweetest dog once he warms up. He will just sit in your lap and cuddle. Loved to jump and chase tennis balls and toys, We ate with him on our lap and he didn't beg or even acknowledge the food once. Seriously the sweetest dog ever!" On another doggy day out, my new friends described me as sweet, well-behaved, loveable. a good boy and friendly! My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: $0 *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
On the 7th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me…..Miss Charlotte who has been waiting a VERY long time (1 year and 4 months) for her perfect family .  Charlotte is 4 years old and came to us with a litter in tow - Gus Wilbur Betsy Templeton etc. All her babies got adopted right away but she STILL has yet to find a home. She was a stray and likely had never lived in a home before coming into her current foster home.    She does require quite a bit of basic manners work including work on a leash. She will need some supervision outside as she’s learning the ropes as she has escaping tendencies. She does have great recall though!  Charlotte has a bundle of energy and loves to play fetch (she would play all day if she was allowed). She LOVES her people and ESPECIALLY enjoys belly rubs . She has also been good with other dogs.  Charlotte has such potential to be an AMAZING dog, but we don't want to sugar coat it, she will make her human work to help uncover her true potential and give her the necessary exercise to help her succeed.  If you’re interested in learning more please private message us or you can also apply here: Newleashdogrescue.com ##1833628##

***Minnie is being housed in a FOSTER HOME. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application and the PCHS staff will reach out to schedule an appointment for you to meet with her***When a red heeler, very pregnant momma dog needed somewhere to go... we just couldn`t say no. And thankfully for us, a wonderful foster home stepped up to take on mom and her soon to be pups. Minnie (momma) gave birth in her foster home and has spent several weeks with them while raising her puppies. Now her pups are weaned and old enough to find their own forever homes, and so is momma!Minnie has had quite a few litters in her day and she is ready to put her mothering days behind her. She is a medium sized lady and weighs around 40 some pounds. She has been around other dogs and has done well with them. She absolutely loves people and attention. Minnie has a very sweet and gentle disposition that would make her an ideal candidate for a couch cuddle bug while also still be up for going on walks. If Minnie sounds like a good fit for you, apply online today!Adoption fee is $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Hi, I’m Chibul! I’m a young herding mix with a big heart, a quirky personality, and a little extra baggage—but I’m working on it! Life’s been a bit confusing for me. I was adopted as a puppy and returned when I grew up and didn’t know how to handle the big, wide world. Luckily, I’m now in a foster home with my littermate, and he’s helping me learn how to “dog.” I’m still shy and unsure sometimes—new people, places, and situations can be scary—but with a calm, confident dog by my side, I’m getting braver every day. I’m silly and sweet once I feel safe. I love to play, carry my stuffed toys around, and snuggle close. Sometimes I get a little too excited and gently hold your arm in my mouth (don’t worry, I’m just showing love the only way I know how). I’m also a big fan of face kisses, especially on kids! Cats? I think they’re fun and would love to play, so slow intros are important. I’m looking for a patient person (or family) who can see past my nervous moments and help me keep building confidence. A calm dog friend would be amazing, and someone who doesn’t mind the occasional missing sock is a bonus. I know I have a little growing to do, but I promise—with time, love, and a few squeaky toys—I’ll be your most loyal, loving companion. Adoption fee: $350 + tax Apply to meet me at www.campcompanion.org
