Hello Hoomans! My name is Bella and I am a 1-2 year old, female Border Collie/Belgian Malinois mix and I am looking for my forever adventure buddy. I am brindle in color and will weigh between 26-60 pounds, making me a medium size girl. That combination of Border Collie and Belgian Malinois means I am very smart, very active and very ready to go, go, go! Before coming to Golden Paws Rescue, life was a little bit rough for me. I was found along a hiking trail in the woods, by a wonderful person, at a time when I was alone, pretty malnourished, confused and somewhat bewildered. This person scooped me up, took me home and cared for me. When I was feeling much better, they decided that they were unable to give me the time, exercise and training that I required and, out of love, took me to Golden Paws Rescue in order for me to find my forever family. My rescuer told me that they were not bringing me here because I had done anything wrong, but because they loved me and wanted the best life possible for me. I love everyone, men, women, and children, but I still have a lot of puppy energy in me, and I may be a little too much for smaller children. I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock any little hoomans down just cause I wanted to play. I really need a person and/or family who are active and enjoy going on long walks and hikes and playing in the yard or dog park. I do very well walking on a leash and can sit on command. After a full day of hiking or playing, I really enjoy going home, curling up next to you and cuddling. So what do you say? I have had all my shots, I have been spayed, and I’m ready to go. She and her sister, Sapphire, were found beside a busy highway in Austin, TX, and after searching for their owners with no luck, they’ve been in foster care. Sapphire and her sister (Ruby) were found beside a busy highway in Austin TX in May '26, with no collars, nor microchipped. THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. They are about 10 months old. . Efforts were made to find their owners, to no avail. They have been fostered initially in Austin, TX, then in Northwest Arkansas. We have 2 dogs plus 2 cats, and therefore cannot take on any more pets permanently. These dogs have now been spayed, plus given all their shots. They are walked daily on a split leash, and get along with other dogs well. They interact in a friendly manner with other dogs at dog parks. They are fence friendly without escape attempts. They are still growing up and have the usual puppy behavior like chewing things, but not bad. Overall they are very friendly, heart-meltingly cute, with lots of energy but love their naps. Ideally, we would like to have them adopted together, into a loving household, with a fenced yard.

Very sweet dog. He and my other dog don't get along. I believe he needs more exercise also. And we aren't able to give Gunner what he needs. He loves to go on walks, play freebie. He loves to cuddle with us on the couch. He has a pet door. So he can go out or stay in which ever he chooses. He loves to run. We aren't able to take him running. We love him. But he doesn't get along with our older border collie. He needs a good home. And more training. He is 4 years old. He still acts like a puppy at times. He is very afraid of thunder storms and fire works. He is a full blood border collie. He's very smart also. My husband wants to see where Gunner will live. He needs a loving forever home.
