Story
Did you know that Beanz provides people with health benefits? It’s true! Beanz can help control your appetite because you’ll have to share everything with him. Beanz can help your heart health because he’ll help you be more active. Beanz can also reduce stress and ease loneliness because, well, he’s Beanz! Come adopt yourself a Beanz and enjoy all the health benefits! Beanz is a typical puppy and will need proper exercise, nutrition, and training to develop into a healthy adult. He loves his people and loves having other dogs around to play with. Beanz would benefit from a tolerant older sibling or can be an only dog, but with playful parents who can help him burn his puppy energy. Once he's tired, he will sleep soundly near your feet until the next time to play. He loves food and is very treat motivated, so we think he will be a great dog to train. He has a very sweet and happy personality. Beanz is curious about most things and will gladly explore his surroundings, but will usually return to come and sit by your foot. He is becoming a confident little dog. Currently, he is sleeping through the night in a crate but he will also protest his dislike of being in a crate. It is a work in progress. Potty training is going well, but as a puppy the occasional accidents do still happen. Beanz is learning how to explore the outdoors and loves to be outside playing. If you'd like to meet Beanz, apply today! If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at http://www.CFP-NC.org/adoptions and we will get in touch with you.

Moe is a very laid back puppy! He is quite the snoozer, but really loves playtime with his sister, Pearl. He's a little shy and would do well with a buddy to help build up his courage and keep him company. He is as sweet as can be and really aims to please! If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at http://www.CFP-NC.org/adoptions and we will get in touch with you.

Story
Meelo is a sweet 50 lb Beagle mix, approx. eight yrs old. He was left outdoors in the elements his entire life prior to being surrendered to the shelter and has adjusted well to living indoors in a comfy home. He is happy, energetic and friendly towards people and other dogs. Some favorite activities include: sniffing around the yard, napping on the couch with his canine buddy, enjoying treats and chew toys, but best of all --being close to his person. He is on medication to control seizures and undergoing slow kill heartworm treatment. He has been through a lot and still has some anxiety so needs someone who works from home or is retired since he wants and needs the company! Meelo has great house manners and can be left alone for an reasonable length of time and no longer needs or wants to be in a crate. He is not an apartment dog and a fenced- in yard is needed. He currently lives with another senior but may be fine as a only dog. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.March 27, 2024, 12:43 pm
