He is great with other dogs and kids, he just wants to play play play! When he’s all tired out from that though he just wants to snuggle on the couch He does great in a crate, or on a leash, and even in the car! If you’re looking for your new best friend look no further, here’s Dorian!!  The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. I got at 6 weeks old from a friend. He is a lab border collie mix. Very friendly and high energy. He does have anxiety and barks when he hears noises outside. He pulls a little on walks and if he sees another dog on walks he immediately tries to go towards them by lunging to play but not to be aggressive. Ive had a knee injury that required surgery. I can no longer take care of him as needed. He is very sweet and is food and treat driven he is 7 yrs old.

Story
’m Percy! I am a little over a year old and weigh 64 pounds. I’ve been with Love Mutts Rescue since I was 8 weeks old, so I fortunately only know love and snuggles, which I love to do! I’m up to date on all of my vaccines, neutered, and Heartworm negative. I was so good at the vet, and everyone fell in love with me! I’m an American Staffy mix with Border Collie. I am very athletic and love to swim to cool off after chasing and playing with my foster sisters and brothers. I’m house and crate trained and walk well on my harness. I do need structure in my life because I can get protective of my food, so I don’t mind eating in my crate where I feel comfortable. I’m not a picky eater and I’ll try anything! I love berries, bananas, bread….you name it, I’ll try it! I get along with dogs when I’m properly introduced and learn my boundaries quickly. I would also be ok as an only dog too so I can get all of the love and attention. I’ve not met any cats however my prey drive is high, so I’d be best in a home with no cats. I enjoy long walks, sunshine, balls and toys. I even return the ball about half the time. I absolutely love all people, including kids. I’d be best in a home with older kids though because I think I’m a lapdog and may accidentally knock over a toddler.

Story
Phoebe is a sweet little girl. She is 9 months old and is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. She has a little JRT in her but looks and acts like an ACD. She bonded primarily with my husband though and gets depressed when he leaves for work. When he’s home she’s at his side wherever he goes. Some of the kids have anxiety issues and we thought a dog would help. We soon realized that she has her own anxiety issues. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but Phoebe and the kids feed off each other’s energy and it isn’t working. She loves playing outside, going on walks, snuggling on the couch, getting belly rubs, all the normal dog stuff. She’s totally chill around cats. She really loves playing in the water. She’s nervous around new people though and it’s difficult to work on with anxious kids in the same house. If Phoebe could choose an ideal home for herself it would likely be with someone who works from home or is retired, is free from anxiety and would love an adorable little sidekick.

Archie is a fantastic dog — smart, affectionate, energetic, and loyal. At home he's easygoing and happy, lives with another dog and two kids with zero issues. He does great with familiar dogs off-leash and he's never hurt the children.The honest part: Archie gets reactive around unfamiliar dogs on-leash — barking, lunging, pulling. Even a dog on a window or TV can set him off. It's not aggression, just big feelings he struggles to manage, so we avoid leash walks near unfamiliar dogs. Halters, pinch collars, and harnesses didn't help much. Calm, reward-based training with cheese has.This is a working breed, so we used obedience and agility training to work his mind and body. He thrives on structure — the more engagement he gets, the better he does.We're rehoming him because life with two young kids doesn't leave us the time he deserves. He needs an experienced handler who can bring out his best and who will enjoy working with him— and if that's you, we think you'll love him.
