Story
This beautiful boy is the quintessential old-fashioned dog. Petey is good natured, obedient trustworthy, affectionate and loyal. He loves to be active and also enjoys quiet time with close cuddling. He is good with other friendly dogs. He is E collar trained and will also go in a crate. Ideally, he likes to have ready access to the outdoors. His enthusiasm can be quite exuberant which settles dramatically with attention. As he is about 80 pounds, it may be better for him to be in a family with school age children. He is not destructive. His preference is to sleep in bed with his people, but is also happy anywhere. Petey is playful and trainable. I can’t speak enough of Petey and how adaptable he has been. The first year of his life was neglect, tied up outside in rural North Carolina. Despite this, his good nature has persevered. He’s not tested around cats but his obedience would leave one alone. If Petey is not a good fit, he must be returned to me.

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Sasha the Snuggle-Pup – “Fluffy, Fun, and Full of Personality!” By: CozyDogMom Wow. Just wow. Sasha has the softest, floofiest coat I’ve ever experienced—like hugging a cloud that wants to play fetch. She’s goofy in the best way and is always game for an adventure (or a nap). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with a dash of sass!   Trick-Learning Prodigy – “Smart, silly, and training like a champ.” By: FirstTimePupTrainer Sasha picks up on commands FAST. She’s eager to please and super treat-motivated. We’re working on “sit,” “stay,” and “don’t chew the shoe,” and she’s nailing it. She does test boundaries (toddler energy!), but with consistency, she thrives. If you love training sessions, she’s your girl.   Best with Big-Dog Buddies – ½ “Loves confident canine companions—but no cats, please.” By: PackLeaderVibes Sasha truly shines around other confident dogs her size or bigger. She takes cues from them beautifully and gains confidence quickly. But homes with cats or small dogs? Not her vibe. She’s got a big personality and needs friends who can match her energy.   Kid-Friendly-ish – “Great with older kids, not for toddlers.” By: DogDadWithTeens Sasha adores kids—but younger ones might find her a bit too clever for comfort! She does best with older children who can stick to consistent commands and not let her sneak an extra treat (or three). Think “fun-loving puppy meets tiny lawyer.”   All the Essentials Included – “Vaccinated, spayed, and ready to move in.” By: ReadyToAdopt Fully vetted, spayed, and healthy—this pup is as turnkey as they come. No assembly required (unless you count assembling a toy collection for her). Sasha is absolutely adoption-ready!   Final Verdict: A Must-Adopt! – “She’s not just a good dog—she’s a great dog.” By: FutureBestFriend If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, fun-loving pup who thrives on affection and structure, Sasha is the perfect pick. No cats, no tiny dogs—but tons of love and laughter guaranteed. ##2056176##

Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Jolene: The Main Character. Always. At just 36 pounds, Jolene is compact enough to fit in your car, your lap, and your heart—but not your social calendar if it includes other dogs. She’s not here for pack life. She’s here to be your one and only, your ride-or-die, your queen bee. Other dogs? Hard pass. Jolene wants the spotlight, and honestly, she deserves it. She’s currently boarding with a trainer and crushing it—learning the ropes, snuggling her stuffies, and plotting world domination (or at least domination of your couch). She has energy for days, so if your lifestyle is more “let’s hike this trail” and less “let’s binge-watch eight seasons of a show without moving,” she’s your girl. Jolene is accepting applications for: Humans who enjoy brisk walks, stuffed toy destruction, and unwavering loyalty. Households with no other pets (her words, not ours: “I will not be sharing my throne.”) Anyone who has ever looked at a dog and thought, “you might just be a tiny, unbothered celebrity.” Think you’re the chosen one? Apply to foster or adopt at pipsrescue.org. Just don’t bring any other dogs with you. Jolene will see them. She will judge.  $100 of her adoption fee is being sponsored by Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers, so her adoption fee is $225  ##1611630##

Story
Meet Maestro, a resilient soul with a heart twice the size of his (admittedly adorable) face. After a bit of a rocky start in life, Maestro has emerged as a devoted companion who lives for his people—just one look in his direction is enough to get his tail wagging. Whether you’re looking for a focused "coworker" to nap at your feet while you work or a cheerful partner for a neighborhood stroll, Maestro is your guy. Don’t let that sweet face fool you, though—this boy is exceptionally bright! He has been a star with his training basics, but he’s the type of "smart" that requires a job to do; if his mind isn't engaged, he’ll happily find his own (likely mischievous) fun. He is making wonderful progress with his crate training, potty training, and leash manners, though he’ll look to his forever family to help him polish those skills as he grows. Due to his early history, Maestro can be particular about sharing his food and his favorite humans. While he is generally friendly and ready to play with doggy friends, he'd do best either with a very patient/forgiving dog who will understand his requests for space at times or as a dog where he will be the king of his own castle. Maestro is ready to be your new best friend.

Story
Tessa is a 9yo border collie mix. An active household or one with kids living there or visiting often would be perfect for her. Can provide a crate if needed but she's house trained and free roams indoors now. The Good: Shes extremely smart, learns well and isn't destructive. She can be trained with voice and hand commands. She's very active for her age and doesn't have an off setting - more like a standby mode. She's absolutely addicted to tennis balls! Adores children to the point of whining if she can't play with them. Even though she's a herding breed, she's never nipped at kids for running around or being loud. The Bad: Tessa is leash-reactive towards other dogs, so she's not the kind of dog you can take to the dog park or other doggy events. She's very selective with the dogs she'll get along with, usually she prefers small male breeds. She got into a fight with my other, bigger female dog and hasn't gotten over it in 3 years. No cats!

Story
Aska is a sweet, Austrian Shepard, German shepherd mix. She is on the smaller side, but is the perfect snuggle bug. Aska is a bit of a goofball and lacks some manners, but loves to achieve and strives to please. Hasn’t shown any aggression towards other dogs and is very timid, but opens up around others.
