**Note: Currently, Camper is in Korea, but he will fly to Toronto upon adoption. Background This handsome boy was rescued from a slaughterhouse in the summer of 2022 in Daegu, Korea. After his rescue, he lived in a local shelter for three years but couldn’t find a home in Korea. After hearing his story, we brought him to our boarding house, knowing that a loving family is waiting for him in Canada or the US. His forever home is out there, and he is ready to find it. Personality & Behavior Camper is a wonderful Border Collie with a sweet and gentle personality. He has medium energy, much calmer than a typical Border Collie, making him well-mannered and easygoing. He is social and friendly, not shy around strangers, and he gets along beautifully with other dogs. Camper is never dominant or aggressive; he is always polite and affectionate. Among people at the shelter, he is one of the sweetest and most popular dogs, loved by volunteers for his friendly and gentle nature. Daily Life & Habits Camper is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He goes potty outside and is easy to care for. He handles bath time and car ride well, and walks nicely on leash, though he sometimes gets excited by new sights during walks. Currently in a Toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust.
