Flawless was surrendered to us from an extremely neglectful situation. She spent the first few weeks in the hospital being treated for an infected wound on her paw and on a re-feeding schedule due to being emaciated. This is an experience no puppy should ever have to endure. Fast forward to now, Flawless is thriving. She is healthy as can be, her coat is luscious and she has filled out. She is ready for her forever home. She is extremely high energy, she loves to play fetch and learn new things. Flawless has been getting better with dogs with slow introductions, and instead of being fearful and reactive (as she once was) she engages to play with dogs and is very curious. She will still require slow and controlled introductions with dogs. Flawless is as sweet and cuddly as can be with people she is familiar with. She is a good listener and will follow you like your shadow. She gets extremely attached to her people. With strangers Flawless can be very reactive and wary. It takes her some time to trust people. She will require slow and cautious introductions. Her ideal home would be with someone that does not have visitors often, and when they do they are prepared to work on building relationships. It will take time and patience for her to make friends. Flawless could possibly go to a home with another dog after a few meet and greets at Dog Tales to ensure they are compatible. She would do best in an adult only home with someone that is home often.

Currently in a Toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust. After some fun and exercise, I’m more than happy to relax quietly at home. I’ve got a calm, sensitive side too. I’ve spent most of my life around women, so I might be a bit shy around men at first. But please don’t worry — with patience and gentle care, I’ll come closer, lean in, and show you how much love I have to give. I usually don’t bark and stay nicely in a kennel. I also don’t guard my food against hoomans and furry friends. I generally take my potty break outside. When I visit new places, I tend to mark so please keep that in mind. Special NotesI can still remember my first time entering my shelter back in 2018. I was a skinny little puppy and it’s already been 6 years ever since!
