Story
Celia is a sweet, friendly girl. She is easy-going and usually very cooperative, except when putting on her winter coat! She has adjusted to her new foster home extremely well, learning new routines quickly. Although she is blind in one eye, it doesn't cause her any difficulties whatsoever. She loves being around her people and being petted. She gives lots of kisses! Celia loves walks, playing in the snow, going to the dog park, and playing with soft things, such as old socks and stuffies. She is excellent on her leash, and is usually quiet and friendly when meeting new people and other dogs. Celia is well-behaved in the house. She is never crated, doesnt chew things, doesnt jump up on the couch, and is fully housed-trained. She is very intelligent and loves interacting with her people. She would love a forever home that can provide her with lots of stimulation and tons of love! Celias sweet, affectionate nature will make a wonderful addition to any family. Story
If you’re a fan of Yellowstone, you already know the name Dutton stands for loyalty, grit, and heart and this Dutton lives up to it in the most lovable, tail-wagging way possible. Dutton is a one year old Border Collie mix with a sharp mind, a playful spirit, and an “always on” attitude toward life. He came to the shelter as a stray after being found tied to a bench, but he hasn’t let his rough start dull his sparkle. He’s now neutered, in good health, and ready to find his forever ranch…or couch…or agility course. What makes Dutton special? Smart & Driven: He already knows sit and is eager to learn more—especially if treats or toys are involved. Play is His Love Language: Toys, games, interaction—if it involves you and fun, Dutton is ALL IN. High Energy, High Potential: As a young Border Collie mix, Dutton thrives when his brain and body are exercised. Agility, flyball, “find it” games, trick training—this guy would love a job. Friendly & Engaging: He’s social and people-oriented, though he can get jumpy and amped up when excited. The good news? He does respond to settling cues and shines with structure and positive reinforcement. Dog & Home Notes: He’s met male dogs and was interested but a bit unsure when they were too pushy—he may do best with female dogs. Any dog introductions should be slow, supervised, and on leash. Due to jumpiness and unknown history, small children are not recommended at this time. A home with dog experience, especially with herding breeds, would be ideal. Someone who enjoys training, classes, and the idea of a “working dog” will absolutely love Dutton. A handler who is home more often would help him continue building confidence and learning how to settle. Dutton’s Ideal Match: A committed, positive-reinforcement household that understands Border Collies need structure, boundaries, and lots of fun. He does not respond well to aversive methods but truly shines when learning is engaging, rewarding, and consistent. Dutton is the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, moving, and learning right alongside him. If you’re ready for a loyal sidekick with energy, intelligence, and a big personality, Dutton is ready to be your right-hand ranch dog. Think you can keep up with a Dutton? This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families. *Please note: we only adopt within Ontario

Story
Meet CoCo   Name: CoCo Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Border Collie Mix Color: Black / White / Brown Weight: 10 kg Height: 43–45 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story CoCo was rescued on November 19, 2025, from a severe animal hoarding case involving over 200 dogs. He was extremely fearful of people when first rescued, but after one month in a foster home, he has made remarkable progress and has learned that humans can be kind and safe.    With People   CoCo may be a little shy at first, but once treats come out, he quickly warms up and starts trusting. After he bonds with someone, he enjoys being touched and can even be picked up by supporting his belly. When he feels close to you, he will roll over and show his tummy as a sign of affection.   His confidence with people has grown significantly — he now shows interest in people on walks and has recently started paying special attention to women, sometimes wanting to follow them. He also prefers to sleep close to his people.    With Other Dogs   CoCo is generally neutral toward other dogs. He doesn’t seek out play and usually ignores dogs that approach him. However, he can feel nervous around dogs larger than himself. If another dog acts pushy or challenging, CoCo chooses to avoid the situation rather than react.    With Cats & Birds   When he sees cats on walks, he may look at them with curiosity, but he will follow his handler when guided. He may show a brief chasing response toward birds.    Energy Level   CoCo has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and especially loves walking, running, and moving. After exercise, he settles down well and relaxes calmly.    On Walks   CoCo loves walks and prefers brisk walking or jogging over sniffing. He does pull on leash, but he follows his handler and is currently practicing better leash manners. He has recently become more interested in people while walking, which can distract him, so continued training will help.    At Home & Other Notes • No food guarding with people or dogs • Rarely barks, but may bark to ask for something • May whine briefly in a kennel, then settles • Jumps into and out of the car on his own • Uses both pee pads and outdoor potty • Not very interested in toys • Knows “sit” and “paw,” currently learning “down” • Recently showing some separation anxiety — gradual alone-time training is recommended • Has chewed phone charging cables, so wires should be kept out of reach • Currently teething, so safe chew toys are important • Not food-obsessed, but happily takes treats   CoCo is a gentle, sensitive, and affectionate boy who has overcome a difficult past. With patience, structure, and love, he will continue to grow into a loyal and wonderful companion  Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram.  Currently in Korea  Available to Canada & U.S. ##2627856##

Story
Meet Elody – A Spirited Adventurer Looking for the Right MatchElody is a 3-year-old Husky/Hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. This girl is a true wild child—full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around her.Elody loves going for walks and thrives when she can move her body and explore. Because of her excitable nature, she can become overstimulated, so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands high-energy dogs and can provide structure, enrichment, and consistent outlets for both her physical and mental needs. She is seeking an active, experienced home that enjoys being on the go and is committed to continuing her training and helping her learn how to settle and focus. Elody has a high prey drive and must be the only animal in the home—no other dogs, cats, or small animals.Elody would do best in a home without young children. A household with teens (13+) who are dog-savvy and respectful of boundaries may be a good fit. She is very protective of her people and can be wary of strangers, so a quieter, more rural setting with limited foot traffic would likely suit her best.If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous companion and have the time, energy, and experience to meet her needs, Elody could be your perfect match.

Story
Hi, I’m Ella! I’m a young adult with a gentle heart and a slightly shy spirit. I didn’t get much socialization when I was younger, so the world still feels a little big and confusing to me. But if you bring some tasty treats and give me a little time, I’ll start to trust you—and once I do, my true puppy self comes bursting out! When I’m comfortable, I’m all wiggles and bounces. I leap into your lap for love, dance around with excitement, and act like the happy, silly puppy I’ve always wanted to be. I just need someone patient to help me feel safe enough to shine. I’m looking for a home where someone is around often, because being alone still makes me nervous. I’d like to be the only dog, but I’ve shown I can be playful with cats. Mostly, I just need a human who has the time to help me learn about the world—someone who will train me, socialize me, and love me through every step of my growing up. If you’re gentle, understanding, and ready to help a shy girl blossom, I promise I’ll give you all the love and loyalty in my little puppy heart.
