Story
Finn and Ollie are super healthy 3 year old brothers Sweet but rambunctious non-aggressive and great guard dogs barking when needed They are never far from each other They pull on leashes when excited And pull if they spot squirrels but do calm down after 15 minutes into walk Ollie is very attentive to owner and really loves to be near his brother Polite eaters not beggars know how to sit easily w command They also open and close doors in the house and are always gentle with humans but get excited and jump when someone new comes to visit They ideally need a 2+ person household, no cats and someone strong to walk Finn I alone am unable to walk them both any longer without heavy pulling but after 10–15 they calm down and a hour walk can be enjoyable At home, they have spurts of rough-housing , lots of energy and very verbal play but they quiet down nicely most of the day and sleep thru the night They both have distinct and funny personalities

Story
June is a super smart, loves to please, is very attentive to her people, loves to learn, and is very athletic. She loves other dogs. Loves chasing a ball or frisbee. She has great recall. Whether out in a field or on the beach when you call for June she will come. She is leash trained and loves walking and hiking. When passing people on the trail I say "heel" and she comes and walks beside me. When walking in the neighborhood I tell her "this side" and she looks at me to determine where I am going, and she waits at the corner and doesn't cross the road until I say "ok". She is a high energy, super smart cattle dog mix. She is slow to warm up to new people. Though if you already have a dog she warms up much quicker. She would love to live in a home with property. And another dog. Someplace she can get her energy out.

Story
Hi, I’m Jackson! Nice to meet you! I’m an 11-year-old Border Collie mix with energy to play and have a heart full of loyalty. I weigh about 48 pounds and have the agility and stamina to run, play, and explore. I used to live on a quiet rural property with the best human dad, where we had all the space in the world. I have lots of energy and need daily exercise, whether that’s structured walks, running in a safely fenced yard, or other activities that help me burn off both physical and mental energy. When I don’t get enough outlets, my anxiety can increase. With patience, reassurance, and a calm environment, (including anxiety medication!) I do best. On walks, I may get overexcited or reactive when I see other dogs, deer, or unexpected things. Because of this, I’m much happier in a quiet, country environment where I don’t need to be on leash as often. In safe, off-leash areas, I relax, decompress, and can share space nicely with other dogs. My recall is strong, and I reliably come back to my person. I’m very people-focused and love being close to my humans. I get excited to see kids, but because of my strength, energy, and anxiety, I would do best in a home without small children. My human loves me very much, but can no longer give me the space and exercise that help me feel calm and confident. My ideal home is a quiet, rural setting or peaceful countryside property with one or two adults who understand anxiety and want a deeply loyal companion. I’d thrive as the only pet, where I can soak up all the love, constantly be by my person's side and feel secure again. I’ve been at SDRO for a long time and would love to find my second lease on life. Do I sound like a good match for you? If so please apply.

Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Story
Goose is the perfect little wingman. Wherever his brothers go, he is right behind them, taking it all in and making sure he does not miss a thing. He may be cautious at first, but he is not intimidated, even big dogs do not faze him. He carries himself with quiet confidence and a steady spirit. Goose loves his people, big and small, and enjoys attention, but he is also wonderfully independent. While his brothers are busy wrestling outside, he is perfectly content grabbing a toy and entertaining himself. He is the kind of pup who can balance affection and adventure with ease. He is a sweet, happy boy, but do not expect him to sit still for endless snuggles, he has important puppy business to attend to. Goose is curious, thoughtful, and full of personality, and he is going to grow into a loyal, well rounded companion. You can apply directly for Goose by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-819 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Cookie is a sweet and easygoing Heeler/Lab mix who loves being around people. She bonds quickly and becomes very attached to her person, following them almost everywhere she goes. Cookie is calm, gentle, and enjoys playing with other dogs, and she is also wonderful with kids. She walks beautifully on a leash, does well with potty training when taken outside regularly, and does fine in her kennel. Cookie can become anxious when separated from her people and may jump fences to try to get back to them. When she is with her people, though, she settles and stays close by. She would thrive in a home where someone is around often and can give her the companionship and connection she loves so much. Cookie is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state.
