Hello, I`m Four Wheel Drive! I`m about 3 years old and weigh 60 pounds. ** I still need to be neutered so when my forever family decides to adopt me I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **Do you like...Dogs? I have yet to met any dogs at the shelter, please bring all dogs in the home to meet!Cats? My history with cats is unknown, slow introductions would set us up for success.Kids? I have a lot of energy, staff recommends ages 10+. Bring all kids to meet me!Anything else you`d like us to know, Four Wheel Drive? I cant wait to see where all our fun adventures will take us! I love long walks and to play fetch.I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. I raised Indie from a puppy. Literally from the day he was born. He’s a great dog a smart as all heck but with two small children in the house it’s getting harder to deny that the herding instinct is to strong to let him be around the kids. He’s nipped them a few times. Never caused serious harm. It enough though that he needs a calmer place to retire. He’s 13 years old.

June is super smart, eager to please, is very attentive to her people. She loves to learn, and is very athletic. She loves other dogs. Loves chasing a ball or frisbee. She has great recall. Whether out in a field or on the beach when you call for June she will come. She is leash trained and loves walking and hiking. When passing people on the trail I say "heel" and she comes and walks beside me. When walking in the neighborhood I tell her "this side" and she looks at me to determine where I am going, and I say "wait" and she waits at the corner and doesn't cross the road until I say "ok".She struggles with anxiety. Our vet suggested anxiety meds. She is on them right now. She gets nervous around strangers and does her best when she can greet people on her terms. She can growl and bark is someone approaches her first. However when she gets her energy out she doesn't have anxiety and she doesnt care about strangers. She needs a farm, or someone who is active daily or to do agility with.
