Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Story
Goose is the perfect little wingman. Wherever his brothers go, he is right behind them, taking it all in and making sure he does not miss a thing. He may be cautious at first, but he is not intimidated, even big dogs do not faze him. He carries himself with quiet confidence and a steady spirit. Goose loves his people, big and small, and enjoys attention, but he is also wonderfully independent. While his brothers are busy wrestling outside, he is perfectly content grabbing a toy and entertaining himself. He is the kind of pup who can balance affection and adventure with ease. He is a sweet, happy boy, but do not expect him to sit still for endless snuggles, he has important puppy business to attend to. Goose is curious, thoughtful, and full of personality, and he is going to grow into a loyal, well rounded companion. Story
Cookie is a sweet and easygoing Heeler/Lab mix who loves being around people. She bonds quickly and becomes very attached to her person, following them almost everywhere she goes. Cookie is calm, gentle, and enjoys playing with other dogs, and she is also wonderful with kids. She walks beautifully on a leash, does well with potty training when taken outside regularly, and does fine in her kennel. Cookie can become anxious when separated from her people and may jump fences to try to get back to them. When she is with her people, though, she settles and stays close by. She would thrive in a home where someone is around often and can give her the companionship and connection she loves so much. Cookie is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Cookie by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-837 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Meet Tonka! Tonka is a 4-month-old Cairn Terrier/Blue Heeler mix weighing just 11 pounds, and he is packed full of personality, affection, and charm. This sweet boy loves nothing more than being close to his people. Whether he’s curled up in your lap, soaking up belly rubs, or following you from room to room, Tonka is happiest when he’s spending time with his family. Tonka is a very social puppy who enjoys meeting new people and taking part in everyday activities. His friendly, confident nature makes him an excellent candidate for public outings, whether that means visiting a pet-friendly store, enjoying an outdoor café, or joining you on family adventures. He loves attention and is always eager to make new friends. Like any young puppy, Tonka enjoys playtime and would especially love a canine companion around his size to romp and wrestle with. He has an energetic, playful side but also knows how to settle down and enjoy quiet cuddle time with his favorite humans. Tonka is already off to a great start with his training. He knows the command “sit” and is both kennel trained and potty trained. His eagerness to please and affectionate nature will make continued training enjoyable and rewarding. Tonka is currently being fostered in a loving home in Seguin, Texas. While he resides in Texas, he can be transported out of state to the right forever family after adoption. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and social companion who will fill your days with smiles, Tonka may be the perfect match for you! Mckenzie was found on 6/26/26 at Banner St. It is unknown at this time if she is spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Our beautiful girl is 8 years old, born deaf. We got her shortly after she was born, unaware of her hearing issues until much later which has made training a bit more difficult than we were prepared for. Because of this, she has learned to feel and rely on every vibration, and is a bit more clingy than most. We believe her lack of hearing has also driven her to have more anxiety as she does not like to be apart for long and usually requires a sturdy outside kennel if we're gone during the day. Aside from that, she has so much energy and love! She would make a great running partner! Unfortunately we are moving much faster cross country than anticipated and will not be able to take her with us. Arley loves to cuddle, she's been gentle with kids, and has gotten along with some dogs (wants the most attention). We would love for her to have a large backyard and someone who can keep her busy and loved. It breaks our heart to say goodbye.
