Story
Goose is the perfect little wingman. Wherever his brothers go, he is right behind them, taking it all in and making sure he does not miss a thing. He may be cautious at first, but he is not intimidated, even big dogs do not faze him. He carries himself with quiet confidence and a steady spirit. Goose loves his people, big and small, and enjoys attention, but he is also wonderfully independent. While his brothers are busy wrestling outside, he is perfectly content grabbing a toy and entertaining himself. He is the kind of pup who can balance affection and adventure with ease. He is a sweet, happy boy, but do not expect him to sit still for endless snuggles, he has important puppy business to attend to. Goose is curious, thoughtful, and full of personality, and he is going to grow into a loyal, well rounded companion. Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. Story
Cookie is a sweet and easygoing Heeler/Lab mix who loves being around people. She bonds quickly and becomes very attached to her person, following them almost everywhere she goes. Cookie is calm, gentle, and enjoys playing with other dogs, and she is also wonderful with kids. She walks beautifully on a leash, does well with potty training when taken outside regularly, and does fine in her kennel. Cookie can become anxious when separated from her people and may jump fences to try to get back to them. When she is with her people, though, she settles and stays close by. She would thrive in a home where someone is around often and can give her the companionship and connection she loves so much. Cookie is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. Hello, I`m Roderick! I`m about 8 months old and weigh 46 pounds. Do you like...Dogs? I came in with another dog but have yet to meet any dogs here at the shelter. Bring any dogs from your home to meet me!Cats? Unknown. Slow and supervised introductions would help set me up for success. Ask staff for handouts!Kids? I am still working on puppy behaviors. I`d like to start out meeting kids 9+. Bring them to meet me!Anything else you`d like us to know, Roderick? I take time to warm up and I am still a growing puppy who needs continued training and socialization.I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. Septer was found on 6/29/26 at Northwest Expressway & Railroad Blvd. He came into the shelter not yet neuteredIf you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Our beautiful girl is 8 years old, born deaf. We got her shortly after she was born, unaware of her hearing issues until much later which has made training a bit more difficult than we were prepared for. Because of this, she has learned to feel and rely on every vibration, and is a bit more clingy than most. We believe her lack of hearing has also driven her to have more anxiety as she does not like to be apart for long and usually requires a sturdy outside kennel if we're gone during the day. Aside from that, she has so much energy and love! She would make a great running partner! Unfortunately we are moving much faster cross country than anticipated and will not be able to take her with us. Arley loves to cuddle, she's been gentle with kids, and has gotten along with some dogs (wants the most attention). We would love for her to have a large backyard and someone who can keep her busy and loved. It breaks our heart to say goodbye.

Not good with kids, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, I’m Louise.I’m a 12-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, about 40 pounds, and I’m looking for a quieter place to spend my golden years. I’ve lived a full life with dogs, cats, and kids, but these days I’ve realized I’d really prefer a calm home without young children running around. I’m a classic heeler at heart, and with a busy 5-year-old in my current home, I’ve started trying to “herd” him by barking and getting a little too bossy. My family loves me enough to know I’d be happier somewhere more peaceful.I’m independent, protective, and pretty quiet overall — unless someone comes to the door. Then I’ll let you know about it. After that, I settle back down and go right back to relaxing on my dog bed.I still get around great for a senior girl. I can climb stairs, hop into the car, and I enjoy leisurely walks, hikes, and a good game of fetch. I walk nicely on a leash and know commands like sit, stay, and lay down. I spend my time indoors with free roam of the house and do just fine being left alone for 5–6 hours at a time.I can be nervous around other dogs and tend to bark or lunge when I see them on walks, so I’d do best with someone who understands heelers and can help me feel secure. Cats are also pretty tempting to chase, so a cat-free home would probably be best. One important thing about me: I LOVE food. Truly. If there’s food left out, I will consider it a gift meant for me. I am on a low-fat diet. What I really want is simple — a calm home, steady routine, soft bed, and someone to enjoy peaceful walks and quiet companionship with. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow to share your slower days, I might be your girl.
