Story
Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you. Story
This senior beauty  waited along time for his day.  Well its finally here buddy,  Montana was dumped at a kill shelter with alot of health issues.  We brought him in 8 weeks ago and fixed him all up. He lost some of his vision as he grew older  but that doesnt stop him :)  Now he needs a calm, quiet, fenced in yard home where he can enjoy being a family dog. and living the rest of his life.  He's UTD, Neutered, chipped and ready to go home. ##2646798##

Story
Edward has been with our organization since December 21,2021 when we rescued him from death row at a North Carolina shelter. That's 1,516 days he has been with us with not one single interest. But that doesn't get him down. He still peacefully waits in his kennel day in and day out with his tail constantly wagging waiting to greet us and waiting for the day someone actually chooses him. Edward is a very laid-back gentle giant who absolutely loves the outdoors. He could sit under the weeping willow for hours just soaking up all of nature's beauty around him without a care in the world. The ideal placement for Edward is a laid-back retirement home with a lot of land where he can be someone's shotgun rider in an old ford riding down a country back road, somewhere he can lay on the front porch as a supervisor really taking in naps all day. He will need a home without cats and now that he's older he would do best as an only dog or with other submissive, laid back dogs. If anyone deserves a chance at a happy ending let it be him! ❤ If interested in more information regarding Edward apply: www.happygoluckymastiffrescue.com
