Story
Meet Marco! Marco is a high-energy and super fun doggo. This boy loves to hang out and run around in our play yard with our shelter staff. His favorite toy is currently rubber squeaky toys. He especially loves it when our staff plays fetch with him! Contrary to popular belief, this is his favorite game NOT Marco Polo. Marco also enjoys getting his energy out through walks and walks well on a leash! When this boy isn't active, you can typically find him working on his commands. He currently knows "down" and "sit"! Marco has pretty good manners for being a young dog! While Marco seems to like every person he meets, he can be a little dog-selective; however, he isn't completely opposed to the idea of having a furry friend! So, if you are looking for a super active and friendly dog consider putting in an adoption application for Marco today!Activity Level: HighWeight: 55 Primary Color: Tri Color Age: 2yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Meet nova! Nova is an approximately 3 year old lab and border collie mix, weighing about 50 lbs.    While my past is not known, I was rescued by some nice people after trying to live outside on my own! It appears I may have lived outside for most of my life, so I’m really enjoying this indoor house life. True to my roots though, being outside and running around is one of my favorite things to do! I’m content just laying in the grass and watching all the people and animals (especially bunnies and birds!). I would ideally do well with a fenced in yard or a place to run around and get my exercise in!    I love other dogs and making new friends! There isn’t a dog I haven’t met that I didn’t like!  Children don’t bother me either, especially if they give me treats!    My foster says I am the biggest sweetheart and have a very laid back demeanor. I can be shy and scared at first, but I warm up quickly. I just need some patience and love! I do great in my crate. Im still  working on some things adjusting to this indoor life though! While doing well, sometimes i need reminded that i can’t go to the bathroom where ever I please anymore! I love playing with toys, but do need reminded of what all is mine! I’m eager to please, and would do well with someone who has some time to teach me some tricks and learn! someone who is patient while I learn and has time to allow me that would be ideal!  I just want to love and be loved! Everyone who meets me falls in love with me! Are you my forever home?  This dog is available for adoption Paws Across Pittsburgh KL#16182.  ##2015898##

I was found as a stray and now I'm here at Heal Animal Rescue looking for a new family to call my own. I LOVE people, and I crave attention. I'm good on walks, and I like other dogs too! The people here at Heal say I'm the sweetest pup in the kennel, and that whoever adopts me will be one lucky family! I'm up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and I also have a microchip.

Story
Badger’s looking for a farm! Badger is a 49 lb., 7 year old, neutered, housebroken Border Collie and Hound mix. Badger’s habit of trying to “herd” a little girl who used to visit landed him at the shelter even though he was fine with older children in the home. Badger has the beautiful markings of a Border Collie minus the static cling and tangles because his fur is Hound dog short. Badger responds well to positive training and leadership; he could earn a place in the Guinness book of world records for “dog who can play fetch the longest.” Hound dogs do not do well in shelters and Badger is no exception. Confinement in such a small space is challenging for Badger, who loves to play and explore. If you prefer dogs to people, and if you have some land you wouldn’t mind sharing with this Border Collie/Hound country boy, please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 ) on Facebook, or call 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org

Story
Snoopy is a handsome, intelligent, 4-year-old hound/Australian shepherd mix that is ready for a proper home environment to settle into. He is a bit timid and cautious with new people at first, but turns into a very sweet boy when he warms up to you. He spent most of his life thus far living outside and is in need of some more consistent socialization. Given his breed, snoopy would also thrive with an active family that can give him a lot of TLC as he learns to socialize properly and mature. He is a very smart and intelligent dog, and despite the fact that he lived mostly outside, he is already house-trained. If given the time, Snoopy would likely learn to get along with a dog his size in a home environment as well. He is not compatible with cats. Do you think you can provide Snoopy with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. Story
Woodstock is an Australian Shepherd/hound mix who is ready for a proper home environment to settle into and learn/grow in. He has spent his entire life thus far living outdoors without much opportunity to socialize with people or other animals. As a result, he is very timid with people at the moment and will need a loving and patient owner who is willing to help him learn, mature, and socialize. He needs to build up confidence in that process. When out of the kennel environment Woodstock can be a very friendly with his handlers and he walks really well on a leash. He has lived with another dog before and would be happy to have another doggie friend in the home as well. He is not compatible with cats, and despite living outdoors, he is house-trained. Do you think you can provide Woodstock with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org.
